  1. No thanks I’ll wait. Both scored tonight too
  2. Gerrard is literally a div, no intelligence outside of being a player.
  3. I'd be surprised if Buendia isn't a big player for Emery
  4. Making the odd signing over that age is fine you don't want the majority of the players you sign to be over it. So for example if you are signing 10 players I would have thought 8 of them should be 25 or under.
  5. I didn't get the Louie Barry stuff the lad is tiny. Might be great technically but you will have to be a wizard to deal with the PL at that size.
  6. Spurs from the mid 2000's buy young and lots of them, don't pay stupid salaries. It has got them far.
  7. No problem with the exception but it's been the rule for the last few years.
  8. IS this a serious comment? Do you not think you can make good signings of people who are 25 and under? What kind of comment is this? That is just weird.
  9. not sure about he will make them look class but the longer he is about and the more players we trade the more the transfers will look like hits than misses.
  10. Thing is FFP exists, the longer you are in the league the more the wage bill inflates and eats the transfer budget. This is why I am very interested in mitigating risk by signing people who can be moved on easily because you haven't gone mad on wages for them from the start and because they are at an age for easy resale. Singings that are 25 and under fit that category, signings that are 29 are not. People on here have moaned at me in the past saying things like it isn't your money etc and my response has always been that we have the best chance we have ever had to build something here and eventually the owners will get fed up of being burnt and lower the investment, its just bad business.
  11. I was behind both too, I wanted Buendia a year earlier when he was available for 20m
  12. Yep I do not want signings for the sake of it. In my opinion we should be very selective with signings I would rather go without unless it is 95%+ right for us. I also want us to offer much less wages than we have, it restricts clubs too much
  13. Yep not helped when you keep signing 29 year olds.
  14. I'd love Jack back, our team right now needs ball carrying and progressive passing.
  15. I just think if you have circa 30m you can make a safer bet than him. I see all transfers as bets and your job is to lower your odds of failure OR to make a bet that has a big payoff for a low cost.
  16. Borna Sosa for left back. Depends what the role of the midfielder would be for an alternative to Guendouzi
  17. That would be very predictable with a lack of play down the right
  18. Thuram ideally would be your second choice striker. Ramos might be something special..... might not. It's the sort of gamble a club like ours takes if it wants to sign a world class striker, I've no idea if he is the real deal.
  19. I'll swallow it because we have a top manager who obviously wants them but I am less than impressed.
  20. Nervousness as I have bigged him up so much.
  21. As it's become a niche joke...... Number 10 is who you want off that list.
  22. Coutinho was a mistake and I said so at the time. Digne I felt was a good signing - I would have preferred Sosa but I was behind that one. Augustinson I had never heard of Olsen I don’t really believe anyone but other goalkeepers are qualified to judge them. Bednarak I was against, I didn’t see the point. Dendonker I thought was a decent signing. Probably still is. I didn’t get the Carlos one, I wanted Botman. Everyone is waiting to see how this pans out. from the Bailey Buendia Ings trio I was behind them except ings, I didn’t feel he fitted how we play at all.
