Well if he actually wants the future arsenal job this would be a great opportunity for him to prove himself.

I remember a number of people wanting garde after lambert got sacked. Whoever we get will be a gamble. We are down in the dumps. I just want someone who has some tactical ability unlike the person who recently left us. Garde sounds like he might actually put out a team that makes tactical sense rather than a team of headless chickens.

Would like to see him upfront with gil playing behind him. Ayew would offer much better runs, better hold up play linking with others and would work hard. I think he offers alot more than gestede. Sherwood will probably bench ayew for the next few weeks though

Soon as the team sheet came out it was another wierd decision by sherwood. Don't think ive been happy with any starting lineup hes put out. No idea why bacuna is in the middle, richardson is starting over amavi and lescott is playing at all. There was more fight from most of the players than we have seen in recent times but both teams lacked quality. Ayew was our best player but once again sherwood failed to make the right substitutes and at the right times. There was such a high intensity to the match and once again he doesnt even use 3 substitutes. He wanted to bring a winning mentality to the club and some how hes brought an even bigger losing mentality. I really thought he would be a decent manager but i'm just amazed by how terrible he is tactically. Time for a new manager to enter the disaster that is AVFC

Terrible first half. Solid second half. The best players i reckon were grealish, ayew, richards and veretout. Ayew impressed me the most though. Hopefully this kick starts his villa career.
