This ! I would maybe switch Gueye and Delph, i believe Gueye likes to get forward a bit more from the little amounts ive seen of him. but we would have Westwood and Gards as back up to them. Then we would have Gil and Nzog as back up to the 3. I would prefer us to get rid of Nzog tbh, maybe replace him with Townsend if we could get him for around 10 mil. I wouldnt pay anymore then that for him though! Sounds good to me that!

Not sure how credible they are but a belgian reporter who is normally spot on said the other day we had been offered him and we are interested. SO hopefully that means yes. Would be a class signing if we got him on board. If we signed him. Still need a CB, LB and possibly a RB, if we could also keep Benteke i would be very happy with our squad going into the new season. I am gutted he is going but I can't really blame him at all. I will say that I am very disappointed at the timing of it after his comments in January. I believed he would give us one more season and leave next summer. Andy Gray called it on talksport when Delph signed the deal saying he believed there would be a clause in contract for him to leave for x amount of money. Also about two weeks ago Delph was at a certain golf course the other week with another bloke. Missus said it looked like a businessman (whatever they look like). I'm guessing this was his agent ? This must been going on for a bit longer than man city just meeting release clause I think

Id love him to stay and give us one full season under sherwood and new look team, but if any club stumps up the release clause then i am happy to let him go as the money will (hopefully) go along way to improving our team!... As much as it looks the likely destination,i hope to god he does not move to that vermin club from the north west. I hate them as much as i hate our inbred neighbours from down the road. I believe we are in the best position in all this though.. At worst he leaves for £32.5 million, At best he stays and signs new contract (Unlikely imo). I just hope whatever happens gets done quickly so we can all move on and get our business done elsewhere. My brother knows Darryl Westlake (Sheff Utd), who is originally from Walsall/Sutton. He apparently told my brother the other day that Delph is actually buying an apartment that Darryl owns in the Streetly area for his sister to move into. Now obviously this does not actually mean that Delph is staying or leaving but is interesting EDIT: Actually plays for Kilmarnock now.

Probably had his worst season as no1 for us last year but still dont think he was that bad. Plus he must have saved us some vital points in the 2 seasons prior to the last

I dont think GK is anywhere near top priority for transfers this summer but i would be happy with signing Begovic especially if we still had enough money to improve needed areas of squad

I think Benteke is only staying if a bid of 32.5M isn't made because he has now choice. Maybe he has heard he is going to sign a new contract which I am sure he would do regardless if it means a massive Yeah he didnt say weather new contract or whatever but im guessing it must be something along them lines especially as many news outlets now reporting liverplop dropping their interest due to price. I hope its true as we could really do with Benteke for just one more year, it makes sense for him to stay here with euros coming up but i also would understand if he left as he is far too good for us and will probably be a top top player in years to come.

Did he also say there would be a few players leaving too? No but thats already happened really and i suppose anyone can guess that but like i say he aint an one of these saddo's who claim they know all the ins and outs. he just passes on what he hears from his source, which can only be the player his daughter is married to...

Heard some very interesting news friday night from a father in law of one of the players. He reckons that Benteke is staying and that there is a striker coming in soon.. He also went on to say that there is going to be a few players coming in. obviously dont take this as gospel but he aint an attention seeker or anything like that so i trust what he says. hope he is right because he said this summer will be a good one if it is true. The few bits he passed on in the past have been mostly true so fingers crossed ey!

Hi all Finally become a member after years of reading the forum... certainly have had a lot of fun reading these forums over the years! Been a fan of the mighty (not so in recent years!) Villa all my life, was a season ticket holder for 15 years in Holte end up until last season. Became a dad 2 years ago so had to knock the football on the head for a while to spend time with my lad, but i will be back soon with my lad hopefully.....
