  1. End of the road for me, and today has really topped it off. He is still yet to do any better than the majority of our previous managers, even though he spent crazy amounts of money. He has let 4th slip from our grasps twice in two years. We have just been humiliated 7-1 We can't beat teams when it matters, e.g. Wolves and Sunderland at home. He is a good manager, but I don't think he can take us to the next step unfortunately.
  2. One has to laugh, do they? Well 'one' has to laugh with using such grammar, and one certainly laughs when you can't even spell.
  3. What the hell is a hookah lounge? I thought it was a shisha lounge? Same difference
  4. I thought he was doing that but wasn't 100% sure at the time. Good banter. I hope that weren't the reason! He does that celebration mainly because of his mother who died. Although alot of others do it, so it's a fine celebration and take the mick out, as long as it's not because the reason you've stated which I'm sure it isn't. Messi etc...does it too. Gabby's mother isn't dead. Frank Lampard's is though
  5. Hard to tell, but if Sony didn't use better solder in the Slims then they need shooting. However there have been reports of HDD failures, but these are very few and far between so can be put down to standard hard drive reliability issues and nothing to do with the PS3. The trouble is that the slims haven't been around all that long, and the YLoD seems to come after the initial 12 month warranty period is up. Only time will tell. OK thanks for the info, much appreciated. I would also like to say that I think you have done a great job with the website. Crisp layout, simple and easy to navigate round. The youtube video from Watchdog was interesting in particular. Good luck with it.
  6. Just got back...journey back was shit, traffic around the ground was really bad. Slightly annoyed we didnt try harder for the second but a good performance on the whole. Atomsphere was brilliant, best i have been to for a while. Fantastic
  7. Will season ticket holders just get one ticket for the final or do they get two?
  8. I think thats 6 points we have now lost in the last ten min of games. Again we showed great team spirit after being knocked to the floor by Arsenal, but its a real sense of deja vu already but a few months earlier. These were two games where we really should have got something out of one of them to be serious...do we lack bottle? When it doesn't matter as much i.e. Chelsea, Manure and Liverpool away we were completely different. I think the players freeze when it really matters....worrying.
  9. Delph? Disagree with that! Well if Heskey was injured, I wouldn't want Carew playing as I don't feel he works hard enough or offers the team enough especially in a game where you need 11 men working hard for each other. I'd give Downing a rest because we would play Liverpool just 2 days after in a huge clash and it was him or Sidwell, what I've seen from Delph is that on the ball, he's great at running with the ball and picking a pass and possibly if he was given some freedom he could really hurt Arsenal. Or the other option would maybe me Albrighton on the right, Milner centrally and Agbonlahor upfront or just Sids instead of Delph. Delph has only played in a two man midfield for us but with that you need experience of the game defensively too and don't think he quite has that yet so with the extra man in the midfield, it might allow him freedom to play. You are on another planet. Delph- Who we haven't seen in bloody ages is suddenly going to be starting away at Arsenal in one of the biggest games of the season? And then you mention Albrighton- another player who we haven't seen this season who is now a possibility to play away at Arsenal? You really need to stop playing Football Manager all the time. The fact that the lads have an 8 day rest, I think MON will keep the same team if everybody is fit and may make one or two changes for the liverpool game. Well if you hadn't seen my post, I'd keep a same team unless Heskey wasn't fit, and then if he wasn't fit, I'd go 4-5-1 as I don't think Carew works hard enough and wouldn't offer us enough in this match and therefore would play 4-5-1. Obviously Downing in for Delph but with the Liverpool game coming up (even bigger than Arsenal!) I'd rest him as he's played alot recently and is probably still not 100%. So therefore it'd be out of Sidwell, Delph, Gardner for that other central midfield spot, I prefer Delph. If we're going to be successful this year we need to use our squad, I don't see what's wrong with Delph? He's clearly got the ability but in the competitive Premiership he at the moment hasn't the experience and defensive "know-how" to play in the centre of a 2 man midfield, therefore I've put him in a position where he has more of a liscense and less defensive duties. I'm just what I'd do. If were predicting what Mon will do, it will be: 4-4-2, Heskey or Carew. (Heskey if fit) You always put up a good argument, I will give you that ! I just want to save you time writing, as logically thinking Delph will not be starting away at Arsenal. Furthermore, MON seems fairly determined at the moment to play 442 and its working, I doubt he will want to try and unsettle the side by changing formation, would he throw in a curve ball for Wenger? I doubt it. With your concerns about Downing, as I said he now has eight days rest so I predict he will play. If he doesn't one of Sidwell or NRC will play, as for the past 17 games we have been given no indication that Albrighton or Delph will be playing. He obviously doesn't think they are ready, he didn't even play them against Pompey in the cup, therefore when we are chasing Champs League you honestly think he will throw these guys in against Arsenal or Liverpool?

  11. I think there is nothing too much wrong with this thread, just poorly worded. It should be 'Most disappointing player this season'
  12. Sorry mate, it's an in joke with the Irish. In Northern Ireland at the moment there is a whole spait of robberies concerning gangs using JCBs to steal cash machines! Trying to get one of those gangs to drive one of their JCB's down Granville's mouth and up into his brain, but they wouldn't find anything of note. Pity that! I thought a couple of weeks ago you said you were going to leave this site, never to be seen again?!?
  13. no recognised defenders at all isnt it? Vidic will play
  14. Of course I am. I've got them on speed dial. :bonk: No offence but are you one of those people who begins a sentence with 'no offence' because you think it absolves you for whatever offence you intend to cause? No, I just rather comment on situations that I actually know about rather than jumping to conclusions to cause a bit of drama.
  15. I didn't want to be unnecessarily quoting things. I knew what I had posted and the subsequent posts and, as I was only asking you something about the picture you posted, I don't think I needed to quote anything else. For your information, I'm not gay. Not that it matters either way (ooer :winkold:). Cue chuckle. :| No offence but you obviously weren't there and have no idea of what context it was in. Are you one of those people that are always ringing ofcom about the most mundane situations? Just chill out and enjoy life instead of complaining about every little thing.
  16. Just got back, horrible weather and Fratton Park is and old school english ground but its also an absolute shit hole. I thought we played quite well and got the job done, a big fan of Downing, Milner and Young constantly switching- Pompey had no idea what to do. Heskeys goal was well taken, Gabby put in his solid running into the channels shift. Milners goal was brilliant and I thought he played well tonight and Downing put in a good shift. Even though our defence looks solid we still cant keep a clean sheet which is rather annoying. Lets avoid Chelsea in the Semis Also special mention to the person who started the 'Whos the faggot in the red'
