  1. Garde has been a poor appointment. To have a win ratio of zero after 8 games is shocking. When he took over, we still had an opportunity to get out of this mess, but in fact its just got worse. To not be able to muster a single victory is really poor and any capable manager should have been able to scrape at least through one victory. He has made mistakes as well - the horrendous lineup against Norwich, just to take an example.
  2. I see quite a few people quoting 'whispers_listen' from Twitter. Hes a fake/fraud. He deletes tweets and deliberately covers his writing style because he is '@AVFC the window/Next match' in disguise. Both the same person. AVFC transfer tweet may also be the same person as the people above. Just kids messing about.
  3. Answering my own question, but an [alleged] ITK on Twitter suggests we are waiting on Cambiasso who is interested, and failing that may have one more mid. Veretout medical tomorrow. Adebeyor this week, waiting on Holgate too, no other strikers. Baker and Robinson to go out on loan/perm, tonev, Cissokho, Hutton, baker and senderos told to find new clubs. Clarke to have new contract shortly, possibly this week. N'Zog away on Thursday. Suggest's our new SD Almstadt is key to a lot of this activity as they were on Arsenals radar and conversations were had while at the Arse. Twitter: whispers_listen the whispers listen twitter guy is a fraud. He is the same person as 'avfc the window' who tweets every min of the day. he deletes tweets all the time
  4. David Ornstein from the BBC is saying he is having a medical now
  5. He is now 5/1 to stay at Villa this season.
  6. Not gone to Portgual. Wife due to give birth
  7. TalkSport (I know) seem sure Benteke is off to Liverpool either today or within the near future
  8. Surely he won't be signed if he can't pass a medical yet? http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-Tom-Huddlestone-undergoes-surgery/story-26723948-detail/story.html
  9. Hi everyone, I still have a spare ticket in North Stand Upper for the game. Happy to sell it for under face value. Cheers
  10. I have a spare ticket in the North Stand if anyone wants it. 30 quid (face value). Cheers
  11. Not good enough. Ship him out in the summer
  12. Not good enough if we want to kick on. Delph can't do it all, he needs two new midfielders next to him. Then we may have a team....
  13. Shame he doesnt have faith in other players to beat a league 1 team. Frustrating
  14. Will be very shocked if Delph plays. He was knackered at the end of the game against Sunderland. Think kea, sylla and Gardner will be mid three.
  15. Thanks John. Do you mean first league goal in the first half?
  16. OK, 'cost us the full three points' then. The team could have won three points if it wasn't for an INDIVIDUAL error. Lack of concentration and running around like a headless chicken has cost us dearly today. It was a tough match but if we are going to have any hope, its also down to the individuals being accountable on the pitch, Holman wasn't.
  17. Cost us 3 points today. Like a headless chicken. Dreadful
  18. I disagree. On a day where Sky Sports have shown they really don't research any news story themselves unless it's one of their darling clubs, a cock up like that is quite amusing. What else have Sky done today? Must have missed it
  19. Because they get paid to maybe? Whether the players do or dont agree with whats going on or whos telling them what to do they should always put desire and as much effort in as possible. This is what being called a professional is. Ends up being psychological though, especially as this industry is so media driven. You can't compare footballers to other professions. Especially with it being a team game, its a natural though no matter what level you are at. This one gets trotted out too often and I also never compared it to other professions either. Football is part psychological, as a lot of sports are, form and quality of play can be effected but there is no excuse to not putting effort in. I really don't disagree with you, but to be honest I look at the players last in all of this. The board and management team have overseen this complete mess. Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Gabby, Albrighton, Heskey and Cuellar - all players that were around when we were pushing for top 4. We really were nearly there. So imagine the deflation after putting so much effort in over 2yrs to now seeing us selling our best players and settling 10th/11th in the table.
