To be fair to Warnock his results since joining Cardiff have been promotions level. You can argue about the mess both had to deal with all day long but his results gave been better than Bruce. He's also got a track record of promotions over the years so for me there's not much difference in their CV to split them. I hope by the end of October we can all be getting carried away with Bruce but for most the jury is still out. We still haven't hit the heights these players should be getting to but the next 3 will give us an idea of what this team played is made of. I just hope regardless of the Wolves result we can pack Villa Park v Fulham. 4 points next month will be a decent return but I think we can look at 7+ If we click.

I'm guessing exactly the same as what will happen this summer if we go up. We buy 6/7 premier league players to try to stay up then build on it. Staying down isn't good for anyone that's why we need to hope Bruce can get us up. I bet Leeds said similar about taking an extra year all those years ago!

It's not that he plays crap as players adapt at different rates but he looks awful at the basics. He comes on and looks lost. No composure no technique can't pass now I know he's an international so he must be able to do this but watching him in a Villa shirt you'd think we signed him from a pub team. I think playing in tournaments like the Euros and going to places like Turkey in crunch games is pressure enough for him to be able to handle playing for Villa. I've no idea if he'll come good but at the minute I wouldn't want to rely on him coming off the bench when we need a performance.

There's no no point reiterating the fact we are underacheiving at present as all you get is wait and see. Burton was a good performance and I'm the same I enjoyed Bolton because we won but people getting carried away on the back of a good month of results against teams I'd expect expect us to do well against isn't the best idea. October will show us a lot more about this team but i think those easy fixtures came just at the right time for Bruce and hopefully we can carry the form on now.

I think some fans except demise and then settle for less than we should expect.

And if we come through it we will all believe Bruce is the messiah and our return to top flight football is all but assured. My biggest worry is Bruce having 2 weeks to think about the game. We've hit form because he settled on a formation and team now especially with Taylor looking like missing 3 games he'll have to do something I just hope he doesn't over think. After the last break he put the Brentford performance down to the young kids being away so can see him thinking about that too.

The team shouldn't change but we need to start looking at the bench. Thor is hopeless so I'd use Gabby as the LW cover. Tomorrow hopefully will be ideal to bring OHare on. We get a few goals up and try a few things out. For this reason I'd gave RDL on bench instead of Hutton. I'd like Lyden to be on the bench but Bruce never looks at him. If all goes to plan Hogan gets time up top in a 2 Onomah replaces Whelan to see if he can do that role then either RDL or OHare gets a run out

At present we are still under acheiving. You can pick whatever amount of games to form whatever opinion you like but let's be honest and realistic. Burton was a very good performance but we should be winning the game if we want to go up. We still haven't beaten anyone who will be in contention at Easter. We've seen Bruce have runs of good results but they've been followed by awful ones hopefully we can build on Burton and sustain it. Even Bruces biggest fans must acknowledge he's been below par and I'm sure he's biigest haters will back him as long as he does what he was brought in to do. Let's smash Burton then in October Bruce can show we are the real deal.

We had 6 winnable games this month and even though we are all buzzing from a Tuesday only a win on Saturday will get Bruce up to his minimum target. We need to average 2 points a game but fell behind so Bruce needed 14+ this month to claw a bit back. A win will set us up for a tough October. We can't afford a bad month now as you only can get away with 1 maybe 2 tops and August was one.

We need a big performance at Villa Park. It's been pretty dullnfor most of this season and even most of Bruces reign so let's attack for 90 min and they won't handle us. When we score don't sit back go for the jugular.

If we play like last night most weeks we will get the crowds back. Bruce needs to start banging the promotion drum and get the fans believing. For the first time in ages I can't wait for Saturday. Last nights football in patches was quality and if we will need that to be for 90 min to win against other promotion hopefuls. Just to bring us all down to earth we haven't beaten any team that we shouldn't be beating yet. Win on Saturday and we will go in to October in a good position with 3 games that will show if this resurgence is for real.

Last night was hopefully the start of how we play from now on. When we press and play at a tempo as we did in the 1st half not many teams will be able to handle us. My only criticism from last night is Bruce not giving Hogan 20 min playing with Davis and bringing on Thor instead of OHare. Bruce has to be brutal with Thor he's had numerous opportunities and doesn't look good. I wouldn't trust him coming on if there was anything on the game.

I think we will be in and around the playoffs now unlike last year. If Bruce avoids a dip I think we will at least get in there if he manages to get us playing well we could even challenge automatic. I hope Bruce gets more confident as the team does and lets them attack a bit more we have the players.

Leeds last year played better football than us and this year they're flying. Wood is a great example he's a lump of a striker that relies on others creating for him where as ours especially Kodija last season have to do it all them selves. Kodija doesn't get many tap ins or headers.

The last 2 results have been great but the performances haven't improved that much. We still can't dominate games consistently. I like others can't see it changing so i hope we have enough resilience to keep us in games to allow our flair players to win enough games.

The dips are my biggest fear. We dont play good football and rely on individual brilliance way too much. I also think not having the majority of the ball in games will have an affect on fitness later in the season. We've a big squad but a lot of our key players are getting on. Let's win these next 2 then we can say we are back in it. Then we refocus and go again as someone once said.

I've not asked for Bruce to be sacked. If he was I wouldn't be concerned but I realise he won't be going anywhere. You threw up stats to show Bruce us doing well but he's getting 41% in a league where we need over 50% for the playoffs and 60% to challenge for automatic. Bruce has been here 11 months I think RDM was here about 11 weeks and yet at this point there's not too much in their record and if we had a bad week virtually identical to when he was sacked. I hope we can get better because I think if like last year we hit a run of poor player form we aren't good enough as a team to turn it around quickly. We can't afford any dips from now on.

We aren't acheiving promotion form. You can say that when we are in the playoffs or when we are over 50/55% win ratio. The last 2 wins don't make the past 11 months just disappear. I'll take us having 30% of the ball every game if the results are there. I Don't care how we get up as long as we do. I've said that in numerous posts but I can understand people doubting Bruce being able to do it going off of his record here. Bruce has got teams up before he's also failed at other clubs. Let's hope we are in the former.

Those stats would be relavent if we were in the premier league! We arent. We are in the Championship with a squad that's one of the best that's was assembled at quite a cost. 2 games ago Bruces record this season matched RDM. Do you think Bruce has done well since he's been here? For me he started well but in 2017 we've been awful. The last 2 results got him back in the mix but we are still off the pace. We have another 2 winnable games that will hopefully get us in the playoff positions but we can't afford September to be a one off it has to be the norm. Since Bruce has bee here it's been a rollercoaster of results but we can't afford any dips from now till May. Bruce needs to get over 50% win percentage to get into the playoffs and you seem happy at 41% do you want to be promoted?

Well calling him a dinosaur is correct in my opinion. He is an out dated manager. He's tactically inept and he's default style is sit deep and compact. Our football is awful. We've been out passed by nearly all the teams we've played so far. The reason the dominant voice has been against Bruce is most fans have seen the football get worse over his tenure and th results have not been good enough. Looking at Bruces record he is underacheiving and has done all of 2017. How is it nonsense to call him out on that? The fans wanting us to lose why I don't agree with it I can understand it have had enough and can't see him becoming this new manager in time to get us playing good attacking football and winning enough games to succeed. Football is a very emotive game. Fans do get hysterical but a manager with 20 years experience should now that and realise if he isn't achieving the targets he should be he will get calls for his head. Bruce however has a loyal base of reporters who've bought into his revisionism of last year being about survival, He's only been here 6 months. Not having 2 strikers to play up front when Kodija was injured etc etc. If we had a press that wasn't up his arse maybe they'd call him out on some of these ridiculous statements or even ask him is it ok for fans to worry you won't be in the promotion places when your record in over 40 games is crap? He's had 2 wins now but needs another 2 wins to get up to 14 from points this month from 6 winnable games. That's the form we have to have all season not just the occasional month. We've become that used to hardly winning we don't realise wining regularly is normal in this division and winning 2 out of 3 games is needed to have a chance of promotion.
