What was used as the carrot/stick to convince people not to relate what was said at this meeting?

Is he great at getting the best out of his players? I haven't seen much evidence of that so far at Villa. Even if you take the likes of Bent out of the equation, lots of players like Weimann, Westwood and Gabby are having rotten seasons so far this year. ...and yet we are 4 points better off than the same fixtures last season - Go figure!! Ah yes the measure of a great club and its progression to greatness.

Counter attack. Similar to O Neill. It's not really like ONeill. MON liked wingers. Our counter attacks under him were about getting the ball out to the channels quickly, then the wide player would put in crosses to the striker. We don't play with wingers or put in crosses under Lambert. Is Lamberts style counter attack or not?Wingers or no wingers its counterattack!

Weve only got ten points and that's a plus?We are averaging a point a game,38 points total come the end of the year.is that relegation form? Actually we're averaging 1.11 points a game but when you consider the opposition we've faced it really isn't that bad. I don't know what's so hard to get about this - we've had one of the toughest starts ever. Was Hull part of the tougher start?Was a point at Hull a good result for you,or should I say a good 1.11.

That's still makes it one of the worst defences in the league! Good god, wake up! Actually, there are 5 worse than ours and 2 that are the same. When you take into account the kind of teams we've faced that's not too bad. We have to face the same teams as everybody else,and I see us coming off worse than most,we went to Hull and drew,a result some people were praising as a good point,it was two points lost.Cant afford to lose points to teams like Hull Cardiff and even palace.

Ask Torres... So what is it your saying?Weiman is as good as Torres or Weiman is not his class and we should expect a lot of wasted opportunities from Weiman. I think he was refering to Torres drop of form when moving from Liverpool til Chelsea, not comparing Torres and Weimann. Correct. So we should expect Weiman to waste opportunities then,ok gotcha.

Bennett, Kozak, Tonev, Helenuis (so good we bought another striker without playing him) all say Hi. Yes, fairly savvy. Benteke, Vlaar, Bacuna, Lowton, Okore, and Luna have been good signings, to varying degrees, obviously. The verdict is still out on Tonev, Helenius and Kozak, but then they've not really had much time to prove themselves, have they. The problem with varying degrees,is, it can span 0 to 100 and on any given Saturday you could see the good and the bad,apart from okore every one of those players has been called useless at some point.

I thought he was our best attacking option when going forward. Keep him at RB get a RM/Winger ahead of him and start over lapping create some width get some crosses into the box,problem solved,do the same on the other wing and our troubles will be behind us.

Considering Davies outplayed him all day id be very surprised,but,he does need some kind of service from somewhere,before either one of us will know.

Does he, does he really ? We have no away games until November, so we can look at pretty much a years worth of away results going back to last October. Played 18, Won 7,Drawn 6, and Lost 5 - the 5 we lost were to last seasons Top 4, Man U, Chelsea - twice , Man City, and Arsenal. 27 Points. Our goal difference against all but the Top 4 .....+8. Why would you think 'it just isn't working' against the 'lesser' teams ? A very good set of stats if you ask me and with better home results easily Top 10. Why not take a decades worth of away results and tell me how they help with this season?And if your happy with a point from the Hull game,well,we better get some better home results.

Today Hull looked like pushovers and the Villa,well we got a point,speaks volumes for our performance.

Would be in fifth place with a win,wouldnt you like that better than a point at Hull?

If we had come away from MAN u with a point I would be content,we should not be happy about a point away to Hull,or have our standards dropped that low.
