Interesting how different people see it.
I hope he showboats one more time and gets absolutely sparked.
Like Muhammad Ali once said “you pay money to see me beat and I go to the bank laughing”

This Whittaker is an absolute bell end.
From Darlaston as @OutByEaster? pointed out he’s as humble as they come outside of the ring . He puts a show on in the ring whats the big deal? I hope he goes far.

I don’t think it was ever really in question that he wouldn’t do a job for us the man has played at the highest level for years and would be a starting centre back for the majority of premier league teams. It’s unbelievable how far we’ve come to having a player like him as second choice CB.

He walked off didn’t he, guessing no major damage if so
Many of our injured players walk off and then we don’t see them for months. Fingers crossed he’s ok.

To be fair he was getting a bit of a ego after the world cup and making a couple of mistakes, including the **** housery. But I Guess Emery had a word and he is now a much better keeper for cutting it out and focusing 100% on his game.
No he wasn’t it was just the narrative pushed by the jealous English media.

Oh FFS. A back line of Carlos and Lenglet doesn't fill me with much confidence I'm afraid.
No but imagine if had not brought Lenglet in and a line up of Chambers & Carlos. I’m glad we have the depth at Cb but Konsa will be a big miss.

If they don't repay a loan this coming week then Alex Hearns whose company lent them the money will be able to convert that non payment into part ownership.
.......Alex Hearns is a big Villa fan.
I just wish it wasnt a few million and instead a controlling interest.
Interesting . The clubs in such a mess.

Hope VP is doing rocking

Philogene made a huge brave decision. Leave the Prem and go to a club where he knew he would play . Which is what he needed for him to push on. The kid has a load of character. Then compare that with Morgan Rogers who after 6 months at Boro has come back to the Prem to be what will be a bench option. Not knocking Morgan at all,but when you are 21 you have plenty of time to learn your trade away from the spotlight and still make a splash when you level up.
It’s also brave to back yourself to succeed at a higher level but I don’t blame JPB for dropping down a level and admire his eagerness to play regularly. I also don’t hold a grudge against Chuckwemeka for moving to Chelsea there was a lot of hype and noise about him add poor advice to the equation and also the fact Steven Gerrard was our manager at the time don’t blame him one bit.

I think eventually the crest will be lion only hence the move towards a more detailed lion.

Yeah I think that it's clear that Diaby playing ahead of Bailey recently has been a case of managing Bailey's work load. Bailey's been terrific.
Yes and good management of Diaby also not throwing him to the side . Emery perseveres with players through bad patches Bailey is proof of thats

Looked like the only player offering quality when he came on.

Even though Butler will have a heavy influence it’s Bailey ultimately making the decision. He has seemed very happy here ever since Unai came in, even when he wasn’t starting every game. Boy knows a good thing when he sees it. No better place and no better manager to help him fulfil his potential.
Unai seems to understand him and manages him to perfection those recurring injuries have been problematic the way Emery manages his game time is perfect .

I dunno if you are trolling with the whole Buendia thing but it's getting a bit boring.
Easier just to Ignore or he’ll keep doing it

Just has that pure confidence to do whatever he wants with the ball. It’s like he has total control over his body and what he wants to do finally.
He’s proven everybody wrong. Right now, he is phenomenal.
Say it again please…..

Exactly lets look at the positives instead of constantly digging for negative show some support like proper fans.

on the bench today.
Genuine question, was Plymouth a good place to send him?, they have 4 left backs in the senior squad, including Sousa.
This was a question raised by the Argyle fans but I think Brendan Galloway plays as a left CB so his direct competition will be Mikel Miller at wing back. The other LB hasn’t played a league game this season.

Plymouth fans are raving about the interview he's given for Argyle TV
Yes can anyone find the link to it? All the signings we’ve made this January seem professional and humble a good sign that we are looking at characters when scouting individuals again. Think he’ll do well at Plymouth the fans seem a sensible bunch also.

Interesting. Makes sense. There must be someone identified by Monchi for £25-30m which will be better than Zani?
If we were absolutely confident in him transitioning into a premier league player we would have bough him outright . The loan was as sensible approach still time to prove himself mind.

Very very interesting..
He has been signed as a number 8..
Like a Ruben Loftus Cheek type of player..
To be fair Unai has always liked his 6’2 plus CM players like Capoue & Nzonzi..
Maybe he is trying to replicate something similar?
8, 10 or Striker. Ramsey, Zaniolo, Diaby role

Quite pleased with the window, in light of FFP. A good, sustainable team is built around 11-15 solid, first team players with young hungry players in each position trying to take their place.
Looks like we are slowly erasing the errors / short termism of the Gerrard tenure and going back to building sustainably.
Definitely but how much of that Gerrard short termism was on Purslow & Lange also absolute mess considering the profile of player we signed under Smith I surprised they actually sanctioned these transfers.

Don’t wish injury on anybody but being out of the limelight for a while actually works in his favour. Hopefully he returns and plays an integral part with our push for Champions League football and Cup success.
