Alisha's Lehmann's rubbish, ineffectual performances are poisoning his since they got back together. It's no coincidence.
Don’t think they ever split up to be honest. Always someone to blame at villa isn’t there.

You might be right but what use is Lenglet's left foot if he's unable to make the passes we need or too slow to make them at the right time? I might be oversimplifying things or being harsh on Lenglet but our performances at the moment beg the question I think.
They are both ball playing centre backs especially by the standards we’ve seen at Villa in the past it’s just Pau is on an elite level the level expected to be at a Man City defender it’s unfair to compare the other to him he’s in a league of his own.

Hopefully Rogers can make an impact… maybe Kesler can too…
Gauci to come in now or stay out on loan?
Nedeljkovic to arrive next season… highly rated youngster…
Good that we’re looking to the future too and signing potential… squad is shaping up well, just need to get players fit and firing asap… then we’ll have decent options.
Plenty of games to go, more to come from these players…
Definitely the future is bright the slump was always going to come between everything look at the likes of Brighton & Newcastle who struggled from the off.

Juggling Europe has caught up with the players we were the only ones not affected and overachieving to date out of us , Brighton, Newcastle and West Ham but now it’s caught up with us players look tired and concentration levels have dropped. Some of the frailties we showed against the likes of Legia Warsaw & Zrinjski are starting to show as of late. This season was always going to be a slog.

You did also tell us that Buendia and Bailey were useless.
And that Countinho was excellent

Awesome performance and a great season to date. We all knew he had talent hence the excitement when we signed him. Unai persevered with him last season despite the complaints from our “faithful” let’s remember this in the Diaby thread.

Bailey is class

Flag shouldn’t have gone up there

Has anyone on VillaTalk met Duran? Does anyone actually know anything about his attitude? Ever notice how it’s only black players who seem to have bad attitudes and are hard to manage?
Yeah but didn’t want to say anything for all we know Morgan “dream boat” Sanson had a stinking attitude and was never once questioned about his mysterious injuries like Bertrand Traore.

Contract up in June so doubt he’ll be moving anywhere .

no sympathy for him whatsoever
People are keen to point out the things like “bad attitude” “needs to grow up” But When I see comments like this I think those people need to take a long hard look at themselves.

This Rogers guy better be bloody Ronaldinho, four bids! for a player that is in the same conversation as Bidace is borderline concerning, emery and co better have thought this through a million times and been convinced by him.
I don’t for a minute believe we bid 4 times it was just a case of negotiating and ironing out details. Very different players and in terms of FFP the cost is off set over the period of his contract so the reality is the fee received for JPB covers the fee of Rogers. Thats the weird way FFP works.

That's inflation over decades and economic conditions... Not really what's happening here after 5 months of football played.
Yeah but you do realise if a Premier League club approached another Premier League club for a player that the fee would be inflated………

Not one current Man U player would improve the Villa team. I’d rather have sex with Maggie Thatcher and she’s dead.
I think for the first time you almost posted something that made sense footballing related then followed with the usual weird wtf moment.

He seems like a real hothead, not sure it’s what we need in the squad.
Obviously he’s young and allowances have to be made but equally, we can’t afford to have disruptive influences in the squad, if of course he is or can be disruptive (largely conjecture at this point).
I don’t think it’s a huge problem in terms of having an effect on the rest of the squad, If he was older and disruptive and having a negative influence on younger talent like Gabby used to then maybe so but the squad in general seem very professional and will try their upmost to guide him it’s up to him to seize the massive opportunity in front of him now.

Depending on who you ask, Middlesbrough fans only feel he's come good in the last 2 months.
Are we that short-term that we decide to pay £13.5m more than we could have 6 months ago based on a handful of good performances?
You can't have it every which way, and either way you want to look at it, it's a pretty bad way to do business.
Are we that naive to think City would have sold him to us for 1.5m? It would have been a 15m-20m fee just like the youngsters they sold to Southampton last season.

Whole situation really does raise the question of why we didn't just buy him 7 months ago for £1.5m when he went to Boro.
Seems odd.
Not really. He’s stepped up a level and improved. Nothing odd at all about it.
