It was Circus Laudrup from day 1. Differences between Laudrup, his staff and Laudrup's bat shit crazy friend/agent Tutumla .. now apparently also infighting between players. Every week there were several new stories about Laudrup either leaving, being fired or chased by a big football club .. No club wants such a media circus. Laudrup was an incredible techinically gifted player, but he lacked blood, sweat and tears fight. That's pretty much also how he coaches his Spanish armada and how his teams always try to play. Ineffective Tika Taka in own half, without any fight nor creating chances going forward. I am personally surprised he lasted this long. He usually lasts about 12 month, before he's either fired or leaves because of a break down between him and club management. Was a great player. Is a terrible, over-rated manager. IMHO.

And the good thing with a tight field is, it will require less points for the saving 17th spot, than if 2 teams are hopelessly dropped. 35-36 points might be enough for 17th this season.

I would have been happy with a point. Very happy. It's easy enough to play 'attractive' attacking, open football and be carved open to a 8-0 slaughtering. Today, we almost got a point from some real dogged defending. Which is also part of football. The most annoying thing for me was, Clark didn't have to give away that free kick. You could see it was the only thing the Everton player was playing for. Damn it.

What would Okore do to change anything? The problem has not been defense this season. Okore is so OVER VALUED by many on this board. I think it's because they haven't seen him play. In this one case though, he would be more useful as a replacement for Vlaar than Albrighton, as Okore is bought as a clear back-up for Vlaar. Okore can ONLY play as a right side CB. (before someone suggests the Okore - Vlaar partnership, because then Vlaar will have to play out of position to accomondate Okore). Anyway. We're losing now. As Vlaar is not playing, we leak goals like there's no tomorrow.

It was the wrong night to get off Xanax ... holy cow. Unbelievable .. MOTM is Vlaar for me. Weimann was great. Delph was great. Sylla cannot keep the ball. Holt is useful. If only Benteke could find some better form, we'd have a really good team. Maybe, just maybe, if Gabby if back for Godison, we can sneak a point out of there.
