No they're not. We're a Championship side if anything. Sure, we're a Championship side too. Swansea lose today *and fingers crossed they will* with the games they have coming up, I recon they could be well in the relegation scrap come end of next month. We lose and so will we likely. It's that tight in the lower half.

Only if it's true. £250M is ludicrous, given the TV money, I would expect the value to be more like £125M to £150M. Equity aside, isn't there debt at around £125 mill owed to Mr Lerner? .. £125 mill for the equity and debt paid out at par would add up to the £250 mill.

I don't think I've been this depressed about Villa, since back in the 80's, when we were relegated a season. But even there, I was firm in my belief, it was just for one season. Now it's all just bleeeewwwhhhh and depressing. Anyhoo, I think we'll definitely need 3 central defenders to maybe just get a point from a nil nil draw. The Swans are very vulnerable in their own defence, so maybe ... just maybe ... Like Helenius, I think Okore is rather over-rated. He is not that good. Neither can he actually play that position. He is firmly on the right side of two CBs. Vlaar will (when playing with Okore) have to move to the left and as we saw with the 3 games earlier in the season, they looked fragile and unstable together. Also 3 losses btw. Vlaar + Clark is our best pairing for me. I'd love to be proven wrong about Okore, but imho he is far from being a new Martin Laursen.

Will be interesting to hear, where Lambert sees the positives and the improvements today ... Was it not for those (rather lucky at least 2 of them) wins against Arsenal, Man City and S'ton, we'd be on 10 points and last with same points tally as Sunderland. MOM : I suppose Kozak. At least he fought hard and was lucky getting a goal.

Yep, 1 poor game. Sell him. Release him on a free. No point giving such an out of form player a chance to impress. Just saying that if he cannot impress with the U21 side, what chances are there, he'll do any better for the first team? There must obviously be a reason Lambert keeps he out of the team. Personally, I think its because Helenius is not very good and certainly not a PL player. That's also my impression from having seen him in Denmark. Being good for Aab in Denmark Vs Villa in the PL is a massiv difference. PS According to Danish media, Villa is actually looking to 'release him' (let him out to a lower team). They are - again according to Danish media - looking for a deal in the January window.
