    Not sure he’d be a rotten egg - didn’t Gareth Barry stay another year when Liverpool wanted him - he gave his all for that year before finally leaving to join city - I don’t think Jack would underperform , He needs to deliver on the pitch for his World Cup hopes

    So if city offer him £300k villa need to match it? No way would be be paying him that - it would be madness and imagine the disparity In wages amongst the squad - we do not have the income of city - by all means offer him a new deal but let’s be honest we cannot match whatever city can pay him ,and nor do we need to do so , he still has 4 years left on his deal

    Jack is aware of all this speculation - would have been nice for him to put out a one line comment along the lines of ‘ looking forward to getting back to villa next week and an exciting season ahead “ - not gonna happen though .

    If there were a clause it would be resolved Only if city paid it , maybe they think they can knock down the price . with no release clause I don’t see why villa don’t make it clear Jack is not for sale end of story .

    Splash the cash on 3 quality players maybe but we will find clubs add a few million to the asking fee and pay through the nose .

    Hopefully we are approaching the end game now , not sure why villa would even contemplate selling him whatever his wishes are but I’m far from convinced city would prioritise grealish ahead of Kane . They need a striker far more .

    Was due to be today but we will see , they haven’t publicised it much If so compared to the home kit . surely releasing photos on the website beforehand would increase orders .

    If he does then we say no , sorry Jack you signed a 5 yr deal only 10 months ago City would not be pursuing him if he was not interested in the move .

    This, it would be madness to see him now , his value will increase and I’m sure we as a club will be in a better position next year -Jack cannot force the issue , if there is no clause then he’s not for sale - Make that crystal clear and let’s worry about getting players in and stop this speculation

    I wouldn’t think we need to sell for ffp reasons - not sure it would do wonders to help us grow - very dependant on who we bought and I think grealish is irreplaceable . If there is no clause I see no reason whatsoever to even talk to city about a deal - tell them no chance

    If there is no release clause then why are there even any talks at all? Surely we just tell them he’s not for sale full stop ? we don’t need the cash and there would be no pressure to sell whatsoever whether the player would like to go or not - slam down the phone and make it clear they are wasting their time .
