    Agreed , social media probably a place to avoid for a few days until it’s all done and dusted - I’ll be glad when it’s all over and things have unravelled .

    He goes if he wants to go ? You will probably find that there is a release clause and thst is the only way city can get him - we will see . Thst is the only reason villa would sell if their hands are tied - anyone who thinks city would pay over £100m is in cuckoo land - I hate it , but city would not be pursuing jack if they were not well aware of the price and whether he wants the move .

    I believe there is a clause or city would not even be pursuing him as they know villa would not sell - as per Percy article on page 2700 he believes there to be a release clause and so do many other journalists . without a clause city wouldn’t even be after him

    Depends on who we bring in - the key is good recruitment - I’ve been here before with Andy gray , platt, yorke and others - we can build better with the right players , that is the key to moving forward

    Man City will not pay over £100m for Jack grealish - of that I’m sure , maybe they think they could get him for £90m but not a chance in hell . I agree with you regarding city chasing him that there must be some sort of clause otherwise they would have known villa would not sell - hopefully we get this sorted over the weekend and city put up or shut up .

    Exactly - they’d probs try their luck but they’d be well aware of the situation to even be in for him - certainly no way they’d pay over £100m but remember it’s what jacks value may have been a year ago when he signed the deal - obviously his value has risen in the last year but I’d expect a year ago a clause of £100m to be realistic - percy said he believed there was a substantial release clause in his article wgich I posted on page 2700 of the thread so I’d be very surprised if under £100m my feeling is city will prioritise a striker now

    Don’t buy that al all , without a release clause city won’t have a hope in hell of getting him and they’d know it

    No way city would pay anywhere near that They wouldn’t be interested - I believe percy when said he believed there is a release clause and I doubt it would be over £100m as it would be grealish and his agents who’d want it putting in . I think if city pay £100m they get him - for me it’s grealish or Kane as I don’t think they can get both - still far from convinced city would pay £100m

City know the price - probably be £100m If there was no release clause I don’t think city would have a hope in hell of getting him . whether city would pay £100m I guess depends on whether they think Kane is gettable too I think if city pay £100m they get Jack - but I’m far from convinced they will pay it

    Not sure about that , if we finish 6th and get into Europe then surely there would be grounds to stay for a top 4 push the following season ? I would hope if we got into Europe he’d be happy to stay and kick on with us ?

    I agree the midfield certainly needs sorting but looks like smith is trying to sort it with the bids for Jwp and smith-Rowe , hopefully he gets someone in of that ilk

    Sam lee seems to be unravelling the last couple of days - if grealish stays at villa he will need to lay low for a while
