I’m not the one telling people they are talking rubbish if they a different opinion - hopefully I’d respect their opinions . if you really cannot see why Jack grealish may consider moving from villa to Man City then fair enough . besides more than doubling his money , playing alongside world class players , playing for a world class manager , playing champions league and winning trophies then fair enough . yes villa are on the up but Man City are already there and to get to where they are now took many many years - realistically we can aim for Europe next season , and look to build from there . as jack himself said in the quotes a few pages back , the champions league is the place to be , so if he did go I’d respect his reasons for doing so but be very disappointed to lose him

Did West Ham move up 11 places by signing lingard ? There is more than one player in a team - many villa players improved last season and are likely to do so again - if you think villa have no chance of top 7 then that’s your choice mate . You are looking at it from a fans perspective , in his shoes there is a lot to consider , the days of players staying a career at their boyhood clubs are rare - if Jack left I’d be very disappointed but would understand his reasons not to say agree with them

I see no reason whatsoever why villa won’t finish above Leeds , I’d expect villa to be around top 7 , Leeds probably around 10th to 12th .

It’s about his career though , not his love for villa . Gazza left newcastle , Rooney left Everton , both are still fans of those clubs and love their boyhood clubs regardless of the fact they left

You need a good squad not just a good 11 though , our squad needs 3 or 4 more players , we may well get them . if we could get a back up keeper , tuanzebe , Bailey , and a decent midfielder in then we will be in better shape . .

West Ham and Leeds for starters - the hammers do not have the squad for Europe and will find playing so many games tough - Leeds probably peaked under bielsa , new kids on the block , I don’t see them being above villa next season

Did Leicester not go from 17th to 1st in one season ? Did West Ham not finish top 6 having narrowly stayed up? of course top 6 is achievable next season for villa , not to say we will do but certainly a chance

I was hoping for a big push this summer , having lost 5 players and only signing buendia and young it’s a bit disappointing going into august - hopefully there are 3 or 4 lined up . if Jack stays I’d think to avoid this saga next summer we really need to be looking to get into Europe this season

I’d be happy with that and then see where we are next summer - if not in Europe in a year I’d expect him to maybe go

When this is settled soon there will be a huge void in our lives to fill
