Brilliant, it's started earlier than normal! Get a grip! How do you know MON isn't hard at work? How on earth do you know that we're going to leave it to deadline day? We have months to wait before the start of the season and you're already worried we're being left behind. What about all the other teams who are doing nothing in the Prem?

Will Mon spend big (£15m +) on a striker this summer

Woah 17-0. £15m is a hell of a lot of cash and that would mean he'd break our biggest transfer by £3m and I just can't see him doing that. I hope to god thaat we do sign a striker and I think we will, but it will be in the bracket of £8-10m IMO. -
I voted for Taylor but my true choice would have been a dynamic duo of Oyvind Leonhardsen and Erik Bakke.

What?! Richards is atrocious at Right back. He has NO attacking ability whatsoever! He's quick and he can header. He can't run with the ball, he has little to no technique, he can't cross and he often gets caught out of position. Brown is no better than Young either. He's an okay centre back but he lacks the abilities of a good full back. Glen Johnson is a good attacking fullback and I really rate him. Young is solid all round.

Nah, not to my knowledge. I read a story the other day about how their boss wants to keep the team together and sign our Wayne permanent but it's not actually happened.

DDID, Routledge is on loan. He's still contracted to us. But he will leave at that's as good as a dead cert.

I've only seen one person suggest he's leaving. He won't be at all IMO, if he did leave it definitely wouldn't be in January. It'd be in the summer. Which he won't :winkold:

With the January transfer window coming up, I thought I'd start a thread in regards to how many transfers IN and OUT will be going on at Aston Villa Football Club! Personally I can see, one, maybe two, tops. I think Heskey is nailed on. I also think Harweood will leave and that we will sign another striker. But no more than that! EDIT. Completely forgot about Routledge. He'll be off too. Poll added for players IN. And will run for 7 days.

Spurs spent £16M this week. They spent that on one player in the summer and they're fourteen points behind us. But they are in a Cup Final - a competition that we were knocked out by the mighty Leicester Spurs are better than their position suggests So because they are in a League Cup final, they are in a better position than us? I'd rather be 5th in the league and doing well, than be in the cup final, out of shape and 14 points below us.
