    Wow. We were really fantastic today. Aside from 10-15 minutes in the second half, we were practically flawless. Ash was great and deserved his goal, Milner had a really good sign off game, Carew's general play was good (shooting abysmal though ), Downing played well and was in the right place at the right time for his goal and last but not least, Albrighton. My man of the match, he was **** awesome. EDIT: Ciaran Clark (Kent) in defence also deserves a special mention, he was really top notch. Handled Cole, Piquionne and any other attackers like he'd been defending in the Prem for 10 years.

    Feck off. I was first How reliable Gazton? Signing Ireland and selling Heskey is too much joy for me to take. Stay away from the bookies for now. Good god, imagine it. Milner, Heskey and Sidwel out. Ireland in, maybe another signing and a new manager all before the start ofthe season. How exciting!

    I did hint at that too Stally, but I'm just speculating. I agree we'll probably never know though

    Interesting that this happened after MON left. He may well have been negotiating it before he left but if not and he was signed up purely by Faulkner (or some other governing body) it coul suggest that MON didn't rate him enough to offer him a new deal.

    Well now Lerner has said he wants a new manager in place by the 22nd of August we know that they will be taking their time and not rushing to bring in bloody Joe Bloggs from the local 11-a-side team. I'm PRAYING that they make the right decision and get a good, fair (Davies' words, not mine) manager who is not afraid to change things around and sign quality players based on their ability, not the nation they play in!

    Does anyone think that we'll be lucky enough to get a manager in fast who sees our problems and understands that we need players in and will go out and get them in the next two weeks? No **** around and no restrictions to just the British Isles?

    I think with MON leaving, someone at the club signing Ireland would be a huge boost for us. I rate him so highly and left for work yesterday genuinely excited about the prospect of having him in our team. It'd be the final nail in my coffin if we don't sign anyone or get a new boss by the time the window closes, ESPECIALLY if we lose Milner too.

    We do look utter shite on the ball. We just keep turning back and as soon as Benfica see this they just run at us. Pretty poor.

    I know it's a shadow and I'm not 'overly' concerned, but we're watching the game so we may aswell call it as we see it. Otherwise why watch? Fact is the players (6 of which are regulars), have been battered. I think we probably slightly underestimated Benfica I agree. I personally forgot how many good players they have :shock: 6 regulars, BTW? Friedel, Petrov, Dunne, Young and who else?

    I'm not laughing, nor am I overly concerned. This is a shadow of the team that will play against Wet Spam in a couple of weeks. This is a run out and an exercise in fitness.

    Why's everyone so bloody negative, calm down! We also got beat by Basingstoke this pre season, do you think that'll have any effect on our Prem season? (The answer is no, BTW)
