For me he's a quarter back dm like he plays for Brazil. Unlike us(Villa)he has Casimero to share the defensive dutys and that frees him up alot to dictate play more. What does that say about Villa? if Brazil are more defensive than us and they are renouned for attacking play. For me it's obvious we need a hard working defensive minded mid to play with him.

Yep pretty much how I feel, Ronaldo and Messi are miles better than anything else that has become before. I legit aswell just watched the 1986 documentary and the defending and general all round play back in the day was really sub standard comparable to today. Also they all had chicken legs in 1986 and shows the difference in sport science from them and now. Bigger muscles = more explosive movements and higher speed. the game is just show much more evolved nowadays.

All this hype just because he played 3 games for England. Seen him linked to everyone and anyone now. Think Southgate was doing us a favour after all. -
For me Dean lost us the game when he bought Traore on. We should of replaced Barkley with Nakamba and play a flat 3 man midfield. We should of just been tough to beat and less attacking and also try to soak up their attacks. We were clearly depleted in energy in the midfield from the internationals and the load needed to be shared around alot more. I worry Dean just doesn't learn and fails to adapt and why he'll never be a top manager I hope this isn't true but time will obviously tell.
