    They beat some of the best teams in Europe including the most successful European side in history just last week. He has also won lots of domestic trophies playing some of the best football I’ve seen in the Premier League. When they click they are unplayable and that is down to Pep (and the financial backing). As I said, he’s not the best ever but he’s also not a fraud/ con man.

    Tad harsh, some of the football Man City have played has been scintillating. He’s fallen short of the big one, but has won 2 premier league titles and 4 domestic cups in 4 years. Not the greatest ever, not a con artist either.

    I’m not sure how much resistance there was behind the scenes. Our business has had some eye watering losses so I think the general feeling is go along with things that help protect the business in the short and medium term. I wouldn’t have minded “chipping in” if I hadn’t naturally complied anyway.

    We were told we needed to take half our allowance before the end of August (to stop the inevitable nobody working at all in December). For me personally it was fine as I took a longish holiday in Feb.
