  1. no characters in this team, who is standing up and taking responsiblity? Oh and even picking (on paper) a more physical team, we have lost every 50/50 ball. A pathetic lack of effort and fight from the players
  2. this is embarrasing, we cant hold the ball for more than 3 seconds, we a so so weak
  3. jesus christ, how you can not expect they are not going to be coming to tackle you,
  4. absolute bottlers, second best to every ball, no intensity, no fight
  5. they are a yard quicker to everything, embarrasing "effort" so far
  6. poor on their goal - he had no clue where he was meant to be positionally when amavi got beat. he got attracted to the ball instead of covering the top of the box, ambled out when it was fed to morrison and then turned his back on the shot. Compare that to Yacob when he took one in the nuts to block Gils shot, which was probably a better chance.
  7. yep we are soft. We also have no height in the team outside of lescott and gestede (when he plays). Richards at least makes up for his relative lack of height as a CB by being very strong and physical. the midfield in particular lacks physical presence. but the worrying thing today is the lack of bottle and leadership - no one stood up and tried to get us back in the game. All the long balls were symptomatic of this - too many players taking the easy way out.
  8. he absolutely got it wrong on sunday with the subs, but i watched the game back yesterday with my dad who hadnt seen it, and the amount of totally unforced errors being made by the players second half was unbelievable. misplaced passes, clearances sliced out of play, throw ins straight to the opposition, dribbbling straight into tackles. We were also far too weak - too many 50/50 battles lost, and too many challenges being shirked. they showed a replay of the 2nd leicester goal from behind the goal, and the attempted tackling was horrendous, marhez was basically escorted through our midfield and takes out 5 players with one run, lescott has to get across to try and cover, leaving leicester with 3 players against 2 on our own 6 yard line. As the ball goes in you can see half of our team within about 5 yards of each other on the corner of our box. It was pathetic.
  9. Be nice to have a game where we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with stupid unforced errors that cost goals. Not holding out too much hope for that though, still seems to be a big mental block in the squad, still too much of a loser mentality
  10. West Ham look pretty good this season. Helps that they have a very solid midfield to use as a base. Kouyate is a dominant physical presence, and Noble a good all round midfelder. They have Song as well to come in when he is fit.
  11. beastly play by Moses, and neat finish by Payet.

    Brad Guzan

Guzan has been average to poor for a while, and it started before Sherwood got here.
  13. i dont think he is clueless, i think he has generally shown that when he has time to game plan he can set us up to play good football. his biggest weakness is obviously adapting in game, but unfortunately for us i think thats something that comes with experience and games under the belt. I do think though today is really the first time this season his in game decision making (or lack of) has been the main thing costing us. Against Sunderland, yes Advocaat made 2 subs at half time, but all that resulted was 5 or 10 minutes where they actually managed to get in our half a few times, and only managed to score due to some poor individual play from our players. We then dominated the rest of the game. Thats not been tactically out thought - and if it is every manager in the league is guilty of it. Sunderland had a very short period where they pressured us, but no more than what you would expect in any premier league game. Against palace they probably had the better of the play 2nd half, but i didnt think we were completely dominated due to their changes and we would have had a well earned point if not for some brainless play on the pitch. Today leicesters changes did alter the game, we were dominated for pretty much the entire 2nd half, and Tim did nothing to help the situation. That is the situation where his assisstants, including the experienced Ray Wilkins need to step and help Tim out. And if they did try and Tim ignored them, then he needs to swallow his pride and learn to take advice.
  14. those are poor comments from Sherwood. He is actually right when he talks about individual errors and giving the ball away - yet again our players panicked and made unforced errors constantly. But he did nothing to help and excacerbated the problem with his substitutions, and needs to take responsibility for that.
  15. doesnt seem capable of playing more than about 60 mins, his game falls off a cliff after that
