  1. when fans talk about loyalty it's a one way street. If milner was shit he'd get stick on the pitch and we'd all want him sold. As he's good we want loyalty from him. I'm starting to think he may go but we'll get stupid money for him so it won't be a terrible situation
  2. IMO we're in a win win situation. We either keep a good player or get a ridiculous amount of money for him. What ever happens I don't think we'll suffer from the outcome.
  3. Not saying he will go but there really isn't anything you can do if a player really wants to leave. Man U had to let the best player in the world go.
  4. Actually BJ10, I see it the other way; if they offer us a really silly amount of cash I think we'll make him go. I'm not sure the players desire to stay will be the primary factor in whether he's sold and I'm not that sure that we're unwilling vendors. Maybe, i hope not though, it wouldn't send a great message to the team. On one hand the club will want the players to be loyal but on the other hand if the offer is good enough we'll push them to leave.
  5. If he wants to go we'll get a load of cash for him. However i can see us demanding too much money and i don't get the impression milner would kick off if he wasn't allowed to leave. Newcastle screwed him over when first coming to us and he just went back and got on with his football.
  6. You mean we could also have a has been sitting on our bench collecting large wages while doing nothing? yep it's horrible that our stupid manager won't get rid of a very promising player who will only continue to get better and who doesn't seem desperate to leave the club. What an idiot!!! I'm surprised other players haven't handed in transfer requests, why would they want to be in a team that actually wants to keep their best players who are happy to be there? That kind of thinking is just wrong!!!
  7. The season has been over for 2 weeks. Give them a chance.
  8. Well he couldn't help city get 4th and they have better players than us so not sure how he would have improved us. We've had a better season without him.
  9. I still don't see why modric is so good, everytime i've watched him i've thought he is just ok, nothing really special about him IMO and i'd be surprised if he ended up at a club like man u. I used to think bale was useless but i'll admit i'm wrong, looking very much like a quality player at the moment although still not great defensively. Surely with his attributes he should just play left wing all the time.
  10. So you'd rather the manager was adventurous and lose more than do what we do and finish higher in the league? You might enjoy it more if you got yourself a black and white shirt and starting shouting "ho'way the lads!"
  11. yep, we've beaten some really top sides in the last few weeks haven't we? :? Change the record fella. When we finally miss out on 4th, maybe on saturday, I believe it will have been down to MON's lack of squad rotation more than any other factor. Or do you think the players that came out and said they were "out on their feet" and "knackered" were making it up? Change the record? How do we know we'd still be this close had we rotated our best players more? Most of the players on our bench get slated everytime they make an appearance but all of a sudden they're good enough to keep us close to the top 4 if they play every so often. I don't personally believe the players we have in our squad are good enough to step in for periods and help us continue to stick with the top 4. MON has had 3 summer transfer windows to sign players and one of those was after we finished 11th in the league. It's not an easy task to buy players who are good enough to get you into the top 4 and keep them happy being just a bit part player every now and then. No doubt we need a stronger squad in order to rotate more often but i'm not sure why people think thats so easy to achieve.
  12. It's funny how for such a tired team who don't rotate we've managed to put some good wins together and are still in the mix for 4th with 2 games to go. Haven't heard many complaints about our best players playing all the games on here recently. I would of thought such a tired team with a manager who doesn't rotate players would have fallen completely away by now.
  13. it's villa talk, it will always be negative
  14. I agree, rotation certainly does help with tiredness and personally I would use rotation if I were a manager. But one thing people are missing is that rotation also has it's negative points. Settled sides often perform well and rotating teams can unsettle a team. If we had rotated more during the season who is to say we won't have dropped more points? No one can say, but to simply assume we'd be in a better position by rotating players is a bit ignorant. A point I've tried to make many times. Whenever I read about what MON should have done it's always talked about as though anything but 3 points is impossible. We could have rotated more and been further away fro spurs at this point.
  15. People boo him for not playing young and changing things, my guess is the same people will be giving him shit today
  16. why isn't it working? Because we aren't winning every game and sitting clear in 4th? We want to be in the race right down to the wire and at the moment we are. If we change it and lose the next 3 will you say oh well at least he tried?

  18. We haven't been winning loads but we don't lose and those points are keeping us in the race. I keeps reading how MON is failing and how he should do this and that as though changing things always guarantees a win which is ridiculous. What if after a couple of draws we changed things and lost 2 or 3 in a row? Changing and trying new things doesn't guarantee a positive effect. It's like the wolves game, people talk about the fonz coming on and us scoring two goals and winning the game but no one would would contemplate the scenario that the fonz comes on and we don't even draw the game. We are in the race for 4th as we are really hard to beat and even when behind we can come back. Yes things could be improved in scoring goals but changing the team and formation doesn't guarantee we improve goig forward and stay as good at the back.
  19. this while we'd all like 4th, we dont EXPECT it. what we EXPECT is to try our best for it from the players to the manager, and that includes not just sticking to the same thing over and over and over and over again If people don't expect it then why does everyone talk like finishing outside the top 4 would be a failure as a season then? What's not working? We haven't been winning loads of games but not losing games has kept us in the challenge for 4th place. I doubt had we tried a few things on here, lost more games and were sitting behind everton with blues catching us that many would be saying well it's been a good season and at least MON tried a few different things. MON wants to challenge for 4th spot, just because we aren't in 4th spot at this exact moment doesn't mean it's not working. We are still in the race. Spurs are in 4th spot at the moment but it doesn't mean they will stay there and it also doesn't mean that Harry is a failure and should have tried different things if they end up 5th or 6th.
  20. I'm sure at the start of the season the aim was to compete for 4th place and do the best we can in the cups so i don't see how you can say it isn't working. That would be the case with anyone in charge, unless we somehow manage to get the next wenger or mourinho whoever comes in will have to spend loads of money because the teams we are in competition with will spend loads of money.
  21. How many different teams have finished 4th since the champions league money really started to make a difference? We can't demand to get there when we are competing with the richest club in the world and a team who have had years and years of champions league football along with being able to attract better players than us. We need to be in the challenge for 4th place and although we might not make it that's what we've done this season. Randy is not going to sack MON because he's not stupid and i'm sure he wasn't expecting a 4th place finish at this stage. The only thing that will push him will be the fans at the games but apart from the complaining about subs against wolves most of the time they seem to be right behind him.
  22. the problem is the fans are desperate for a goal scorer and may are pinning their hopes on him being that straight away. Tonight I thought he looked good when on the ball and was positive, he often went forward to try and make things happened. Poor header at the end and poor decision to shoot just after. Overall he showed he should have been given some chances earlier this season but probably isn't ready for a regular starting slot.
  23. Gordon kept them in the game and it's a shame we couldn't have got the winner. I can't understand people saying we didn't want to win it, we aren't good enough to just say "ok let's take over and dominate the game." I think the fonz showed that MON has made mistakes not giving him chances earlier but he did two big **** ups near the end. I didn't think we looked tired, we had our chances but like all season we've lacked that player that turns 1 point into 2.
