  1. If NRC is the long term solution then we're in big trouble. Lets see where NRC ends up shall we, i'd be very surprised if he ever plays for a club better than us.
  2. I know imagine how stupid a manager must be to play a defence that was hard to score against and which helped a team become very hard to beat. Stupid Mon!!!
  3. The last two premiership young players of the year have been signed by the manager and funnily enough the amazing James Milner was signed by the very same manager who looks to be doubling his money with his sale. Why is it crazy to think we'll sign someone decent with the money?
  4. Not a big fan of the yak but you can't say it was an awlful pen because that's how he takes them and most of the time he scores. It wasn't lucky because he seems to wait for the keeper to move and then just slides it the other way. Yakubu is a great penalty taker
  5. We need players who are good enough to help us get into the top 4 who are available of a price we can afford and who want to come to a team outside the top 4. I think it's obvious we are looking at a small group of players that match that criteria.
  6. If we were after poor players we could get them quick or if we had a shit load of cash so we could offer a fee and wages which needed no negotiation we could sign players quickly. The players we're after are most of the time going to be players wanted by their own club or wanted by other clubs similar to us. In those cases it's no benifit to the selling club or the player to jump as quick as possible. The selling team will want to make a stand to keep their player or negotiate the best possible fee and possibly get a bidding war going. If the player is wanted by a few clubs then of course he's going to wait and see what the best deal he can get is. If MON could bring his priority targets in early why wouldn't he?
  7. Both points that could be debated yet have nothing to do with the stupid post you made. Unless you're suggesting luke young and beye are good enough to start for the 5 teams ahead of us?
  8. And huddlestone, people were kicking up a fuss when we were linked with him during last summer.
  9. So you said it because you think young is better than cuellar at RB? oh yeah makes perfect sense now. shall we just put it on that big pile of stupid rants you often make on here?
  10. yep i can see why you're done with it. you make a ridiculous claim like And then can't back it up.
  11. Lets see who signs him up then. Who else has he ruined that these big teams would love to have starting for them?
  12. Maybe i've missed something and we'll see sidwell and NRC make big money moves to city and chelsea this summer. I wonder if jamaican will share which bench players are so good that MON has ruined? My guess is its just another ridiculous post to have a moan without actually using his brain.
  13. If you have never watched the shield i'd suggest buying it on DVD and working through it. Superb TV show.
  14. Yeah not doubt, just think about players like Sidwell,Heskey,Reo-Coker,Zat Knight,Shaun Maloney,Wayne Routledge, Nicky Shorey, Marlon Harewood he did really turn them from nothing to superstars :| And turned fully capable players who could start for most squads in the top six into less than bench warmers. What a load of shit. Who from our bench would be starting for chelsea, man u, arsenal, spurs or man city then?
  15. Because players worth that much will want to play for bigger clubs or be wanted by bigger clubs.
  16. isn't he wanted for huge money due to his season playing cm in a 4-4-2? How is that not using him properly?
  17. that's kind of what I'm saying though. No one can know so why do people use it as a reason to complain about the manager. No matter how we get on there is always someone ready to tell us how much better it could have been had MON done what they wanted.
  18. Exactly. When I read these moans it's always the same assumption that things would have been better had MON done things different. The people who always complain never consider the option that we might have done worse in games had NRC or young played or if we'd played 4-5-1.
  19. it's always the same. Forget what you've done this season martin, I'm going to have a moan because it's clear we'd have done better if you'd done what I wanted. We lost 6 premiership games all season, do you not think cuellar played any part in that? No doubt you'll tell me we probably would have lost less if young had played.
  20. Poor going forward but has been solid at the back, he's a threat at set pieces and plays a big part I'm defending them. When he's on the ball he has been very poor at times but his performances as a defender has been fine and has helped us become a very difficult team to beat. I don't think it's the crime of the century to stick with that sort of player.
  21. Luke young is a very good right back but last season we only lost 6 games in the league and I think only 4 teams conceded less goals than us. We also improved from the season before. I really don't care if young plays or cuellar plays as I think they both offer us things in the rb position but it's hardly disgraceful behaviour or shocking management for MON to prefer one player over another, especially when our defensive record kind of justifies that decision.
  22. but our club has been changing. It wasn't like we were top 4 contenders when he took over. He had to buy players to improve first, then better players to get us into Europe then players to keep us amongst those top 6 teams and now we need more players to push our challenge for the top 4. The problem is that the 08/09 season saw expectations fly up and now the players need to represent that more.
  23. wow, considering your past record on negative predictions I'm very surprised at how much you think we should all believe you now.
  24. I don't think we need to worry about getting a good deal. I'm very confident that if he goes we'll get a shit load for him
