    I agree - but he's wasted at right back. We left ourselves criminally short at RB this season and so we're now playing our best all round CB out of position. Roll on next season.

    I'm sorry to pick you up on a single point when I generally agree with your post, but I have to comment on this, because tonight I've read others saying our defence has been poor all season. Our GA is the 5th best in the Premier League. We're very slightly underperforming our 4th place league position.

    I always appreciate your match opinions, even this one that I disagree with, but I'm genuinely stunned by this. I think we were the better team for the opening 10 minutes, got sucker punched, and proceeded to look lethargic and out of ideas for the following 80 minutes.

    I went for Bailey for playing through the pain barrier. My MOTM, and I'd probably rate him at 6/10.

    How many of them did you think were going in for even a moment? I will be honest, I haven't checked, but I'd be surprised if we were winning on xG. They've played us like a fiddle, let us hold the ball to do absolutely **** all, then cut through us with ease.

    I just don't get this. We've created **** nothing tonight. We were a bit unlucky in the first leg, but it's all been vanity possession tonight, we were well beaten by a fresher, more energetic, and probably more well prepared team.

    This might just be me coping, but I don't think us finishing 4th and ending the season with an exhausted whimper to highlight how thin we are and emphasise where we need to strengthen is such a bad thing, in the long run.

    Has Cash improved under Emery? I'd say no, absolute not, and there isn't a single other player in the squad I'd say that about. He's simply not good enough for where we find ourselves. I imagine his face in tactical briefings is what you'd see if you tried to teach algebra to a labrador.
