  1. Just out of pure interest, how were you able to see what it looked like before???? Also just out of interest did he ever end up finding out why the site had slowed down ? Yeah that's what I want to know. And what about those servers?!!!! Dermot will go down in folklore with Defoe in the hotel, Schneider, etc.
  2. Wikipedia hahaha..... On 10 May 2014, the ownership of Aston Villa changed as Randy Lerner sold the club to US billionaire and 5th richest man in the world, Larry Ellison. On the same day, it was revealed that Paul Lambert would be relieved of his duties following the match against Tottenham Hotspur on 11 May 2014. The new manager has been named as former Germany and Bayern Munich manager, Jurgen Klinsmann who will take charge of the club following leading the US national team at this summer's FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
  3. In the whole world ..he's heard it twice.....where as no one else has heard it once......and how many radios has this guy got ? Moreover, no American news outlet reporting it online. And no-one else in the entire world heard it.
  4. Food News with Melinda Lee Hahaha That bloke tweeted a while ago so it's possible he was listening to a different programme. Melinda does have some good advice concerning quiches. Just looking for followers sadly. Not a kind anywhere else online or on American Sports Radio. Nothing to see here.....
  5. Food News with Melinda Lee Hahaha
  6. I'm listening to KNX live online - no mention as yet....
  7. Listenimg to GT himself, people are overstating the idea that he 'has said the club has been sold'. Much more like a rumour, despite the 'reasonable - or good source' that he mentioned. As has been said already, what's wonderful is that we're all on this thread rather than a relegation one! By the way, I got married yesterday and did get references to Villa in my speech you'll be pleased to know!
  8. Gotta love the idea of people refusing Mancini and Benitez as a potential new manager when we've just survive by the skin of our teeth. Yeah, we're too good for those amateurs.... :-)
  9. My Villa 2014-15 team: Guzan Aurier Vlaar Okore Bertrand Delph Mulumbu Holtby Michu Grealish Benteke
  10. Randy would not have issued a 'holding' statement if he was totally committed to staying. Lambert said the statement was 'clever' so there must be some kind of inference required. The cost-cutting, wage-bill, debt clearing, sustainability model are all sure-fire signs of sale preparation. Let's hope we get some changes for the better. Staying up was so vital for this club and you could even argue that this season was the ideal one - just enough to stay up but bad enough to show that things must change. Sometimes in life you need a wake-up call or to 'dodge a bullet' in order to snap you out of s state of inertia. Hopefully this season was it.
  11. So hard not to post on poster in response to rubbish like this Why? Has he been a good signing? Has he contributed to Aston villa being successful? Personally I think he's done fine with limited experience and game time. Contribution yesterday vital.
  12. Disagree - in terms of running channels, Bowery far more a straight swap for Gabby than Holt - shape would have changed with that one
  13. Lots saying that Lerner, Faulkner and Lambert should all go; to be fair to the manager, shouldn't he be given a chance with more funds before he's ditched?
  14. What if your aunt was your uncle? To be fair, would much rather find out my Aunt's got bollocks
  15. What if....... Chelsea 1 - Norwich 3 City 8 - Villa 0 Norwich 2 - Arsenal 0 Spurs 5 - Villa 0 Swing of 17 goals and six points......
  16. Am I the only one that thinks it's a positive 442 with Baker LB and Bertrand LM with Alby on the right?!!!!
  17. He surely will... Our player sending us down, hmm....
  18. I don't see us picking up any more points either, but I think we'll be safe come Sunday evening 35 points will not keep us up. 38 will, 36 might. They cannot lose today. To be fair Stoke, Newcastle and Chelsea wins is a real possibility - and would means 35 is enough. I know what you mean, but the reality is that all three of our rivals are away from home.
  19. Ditto. Got over 3,000 coming in if we go down (50/1) but have my shirt on, has kissed the scarf as always and will be going along today to desperately cheer us to victory. I really can't imagine us going down, but if we do at least I'll be going to Barbados for the honeymoon. Not a believer that we can ever influence the results by 'betting against' and will be screaming us home as always today.
  20. Incredibly nervous. Will be keeping close eye on Cardiff and Fulham while watching us. Impossible to predict this one what with our nerves and possibility of defensive blunders. We could play great, miss chances and Baker could slide into Long for a pen at any time. So just have a feeling we might be relying on Stoke. Please Villa.
  21. There's something we haven't considered about results in the relegation scrap.... No, of course there f&£@ing isn't. Enough!
  22. Chelsea being in the race is good up to a point. But say they are 1-1 with 5 to play against Norwich or Cardiff - they'll go for it like Liverpool did and could get done on the break. Let's hope they don't get desperate and do something stupid like that! Anyway, I think they'll beat Norwich at the Bridge and then it's all about Cardiff and Fulham. Likelihood is neither will win away from home but you just don't know- so beating Hull remains essential. Newcastle/Stoke could concede a dodgy pen, get someone sent off, anything - so we must do the job for ourselves. Personally, despite the form and the negativity and the home nerves and the lack of goals, I honestly believe we will actually win next week. And - you heard it here first - I'd back Grant Holt to score the crucial goal with a header from close range.
  23. What should worry us all is Fulham winning at Stoke and home to Palace. Should that happen even us getting a hard-earned point against Hull would not keep us up as we'd only get to 36 and they'd get to 37. So the big question is - do you think we can BEAT Hull?
  24. Odds on Villa to get relegated post Chelsea were 50-1...our longest odds all season...I was going to stick a cheeky £10 (+ £10 free bet) on it (baby on way, buying bigger house) but I just never got round to it... I was still concerned about our form post-Chelsea so stuck on £60 quid. At 50-1. If the worst happens I'm going to take my new wife (getting married next week) on a special holiday, But I never win bets - let alone 3 grand - so you can all rest easy that we'll beat Hull!
  25. We need to firstly shift: Bent Ireland Dunne Hutton Given Bannan Herd Clark
