List for Lambert: Defensively: Dawson, Lescott or talented boy from either reserves or Championship to step up. Going forward: Maloney might fancy a return, might not. Hoilett looked superb at Blackburn Tom Ince - in our dreams. Grealish to step up no doubt - fabulous prospect.

Just a bit of a damp squib. When it mattered, we played brilliantly - Sunderland, Reading, QPR, Reading and Norwich.

Huuuuuuge result to stay up. Means we can keep more of the players who have learnt so much and get decent prices for anyone that goes. I trust Lambert in that most of those that he's bought have looked good at some stage. Obviously Bennett and KEA must improve, but give them time.

Hi everyone. I'm new here, but have been browsing for years. When worried about Villa going down, I did a terrible thing and bet against my team. Got 110-1 at William Hill and stuck 30 quid on. If the worst happens, I'm taking my girlfriend to the Caribbean with the 3300 return. However, to think I'd win that kind of money is insane - I never win anything. So basically, that's how I know we won't go down. By the way, just told girlfriend about the bet and as a non-footy fan I think that she might buy a wigan shirt! She said she'd rather Villa stay up 'for me' but I don't think I'd blame her!
