  1. Hope this convinces anyone with half a brain cell to cancel their sky supscription and tell 'em to go f*** themselves ...but, unfortunately, millions wont and that is why we have a 'sky 4'
  2. I wear pink. ^^Something like this number suits me
  3. Do you know for certain? It's a pretty standard clause so I'd be surprised if there was nothing in the deal - but then again, it was under Mike Ashley! This came out yesterday, mirror, no sell on clause. cheers - Mike Ashley, what a

  5. Couple of things Firstly, I've still not seen a reliable source confirming Milner has 2 years left on his deal. I think it's highly likely the club have an option for another year on top. Secondly, If Milner is sold, I'd imagine Newcastle will have a sell on clause and Milner will pocket a good chunk (circa 10% unless he hands in a transfer request). 30 million gross might not yield that much of a profit - especially when you factor in the wages he has been paid. I still don't think he will go until he goes to the press and makes his position untenable.
  6. Is there a reliable source which states there are only 2 years left on his contract? I'd be surprised if we don't have the option to extend the contract for an extra year as it's a pretty standard clause in player contracts these days (especially as we have an American owner). From memory, I think we had the clause in both Bouma's and Laursen's contracts
  7. Milner wont go unless he kicks up a fuss in the press to engineer a move (as is the way transfer business is done these days) All the talk of whether he's worth x amount or if it is a step up or a step down is elementary
  8. I don't have much of a problem with the Lib Dems forming a government with the Tories. Part of why I vote lib dem is their support for electoral reform. The reform they are eventually looking to enact will lead to lots of coalition governments. Another reason is their policies, especially the four main policies Clegg laid out as the dealmaker in any coalition. Forming a coalition means that most of these policies will become a reality. I think Matthew Norman is spot on when he says that Clegg would have been hammered whichever way he leaned. I also agree that he has made the right decision.
  9. Not really Clegg said he would talk first to the party with the strongest mandate but also laid out 4 'tests' that would have to be fulfilled in order to earn Lib Dem support
  10. If Clegg does form a government with Labour then they need to get the voting reforms through at the earlist possible opportunity followed by a fresh election to gain a mandate from the public. (It wont be a popular government otherwise) If they don't get the reforms through, then both parties would be destroyed by the conservatives in another election with the FPTP system
  11. I'd be happy for Clegg to give enough rope to Cameron to hang himself. None of the parties have been upfront about their spending cuts and I think whoever forms the next government will struggle. I think the Tories would gain even more votes and seats if no effective government could be formed and there was another election held.
  12. Voted Lib Dem. Hopefully they'll hold onto Solihull
  13. I disagree. I think Clegg won but was clearly rattled when he lost his composure over immigration. Clegg actually engaging with the people asking the questions stuck out for me. The camera cut away several times to show the person asking the question either nodding or smiling as he answered. It may be a small detail but I thought it was significant.
  14. **** YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
  15. Got out of the car at the top of Witton Lane about an hour before the game just in time to see the lulu pride march Never seen a more pathetic bunch. They waddled down the road, shouted at an eight year old boy for wearing a Villa scarf then were tamely rounded up by the police. They then sang some Mary Poppins ditty before being led away, back to their zoo.
  16. *Bump* Anyone buying the new look indie? I like it a lot. The viewspaper (crap name - I know) is a welcome addition. Hopefully they'll be able to add a few more columnists in the near future.
  17. I think Clegg will be most pleased with the outcome as he has come away from this debate relatively unscathed. His views on trident, immigration and support for Europe were all areas he was vulnerable on and both Brown and Cameron failed to land a knockout blow. I think he'll go on to clean up again in the third debate
  18. You would have boo'd our winning side off the pitch wouldn't you? Also bet you listened to it on the radio? Pathetic. ¨ 1) Go bang your head against the wall. 2) I watched the game. 3) We were shit but scored 2 goals. Nothing to cheer about playing wise. Hull had enough chances to bag a couple of goals. Lucky Villa. 4) I bet you only read BBC match commentary. 5) Bang your head against the wall again. nuff said
  19. Delighted with the win. Hull were shite but you can only beat what's put in front of you.
