  1. I am sure if we buy Tammy the management would know exactly where he fits in, its never gong to be a panic buy. Theres no square pegs for round holes going to arrive here any more. As he hasn't yet been sold maybe the terms of a deal are more appealing and he suddenly beocmes possible inthi swindow (alongside others). There one certainlty though, we need a nother CB and Striker so this could be our business all ticked off?
  2. Suggesting they are moving for Tammy (must mean JWP is no go as coudlnt afford both?) and a permament deal for Axel. Tammy arriving is probably written into Jack's new contract
  3. Dont think anything will happen today or maybe even tomorrow. Seems no rush at present and all relaxed. I think if Jack was genuinely leaning towards leaving he would not be training. His agents are probably doing the devils work with senior management, but I think its pointing to him staying and the longer this goes on the more likely this is the outcome. What is very clear around this issue, it suits the press/media to fan the flames as its leading to huge clickbait referrals, I think the Man City side seem to have been sucked into this much more than us.
  4. This is going to be the transfer saga that ends all transfer sagas's. I do feel the press are using this whole circus for clickbait, and the Agents are exploiting it, and may be even Villa are leaving City in the lurch because it demonstrates they have the power to do so?
  5. Thats been the story for 4 days. No one knows anything, and I think its undecided. But £100m seems to be the figure that we a) have a release clause, or b) gentlemans agrrement with Jack and his management. I think the personal terms are agreed with Man City so its whether Jack wants the move is what I think is being debated, or the details of the new deal to stay. Personally I dont think Jack will leave. If he wanted Champions League he would have left by now. I think he wants or is prepared to stay and his team are screwing it for every penny.
  6. I was convinced he was gone. I am now certain he is staying. Too much circumstantial evidence. The fall out is going to be glorious. Please troll mercilessly.
  7. He's on his own, looks like he's avoiding everyone, probably feels awkward. He's definitely going.
  8. I dont think anything is proven on Twitter but its worth putting up for the sport of it. 99% of whats out there is borderline BS?
  9. I know I've been late to a few things but really can't be bothered to go back through the thread to check - have these been posted up?
  10. And to be honest I am probably guilty of being a bit too pissed off at something that hasn’t happened and maybe won’t. In fact of course I really shouldn’t let it even bother me at all. “Some people think Football is a matter of life and death. It is more important than that”
  11. Jeez @Steero113, chill brother. All I will say is if Jack is the fan and in love with the club, that’s actually terrific, we are truly blessed, it would really be a fairytale if he stayed and we went on to succeed as a club because of it. I really hope he does sign, we will be a much better team with him and most importantly it sticks two fingers to the so called elite - the club would have won, it would be massive. However, my point being if he only ever wanted to stay and wouldn't entertain any other club he could have committed to the improved deal weeks ago, instead he is giving the impression, or at least allowing that perception to grow legs, that actually he isn’t as committed as maybe he is, and that he is actually just a glory boy or moving for the money, and the association we have with that is Delph/Barry/Millner etc. It’s damaging even if he stay because he is giving the impression he is weighing it up. Give me credit that I am intelligent enough to realise that silence infers nothing - either good or bad, and its likely a strategy by his Agency, but I am saying its damaging his hero image> But I don’t suppose that will last long if he stays
  12. How’s that orange staying all the way to the top of that straw?
  13. “Shitting all over the guy”? The point being, Jack’s Agency and by proxy Jack, will have instigated this situation by encouragement. It is unlikely to have happened unexpectedly and surprised Team Jack or the Club, they’ve been all over it for months. To suggest he hasn’t considered it because he is on holiday is naive. If he doesnt want the move the improved Contract has been there a while, he could have signed it and made a statement “My Club, My City” etc and we would all be championing him around on our shoulders as a Legend like Totti. But its absolutely nothing like this, quite the opposite. Even if he stays he has damaged his image for many fans. I want him to stay but because of what it means to the club and where its going, he’s key to our progression and sending out a signal for everyone to take notice, including potential big name signings, sponsors etc. But the conduct of his ‘team’ in this for me has damaged his standing. TBH you are starting to get a sense that Jack feels bigger than the club and his ego might be getting the better of him. It’s sad when the Club has done so much to protect him from himself over the past 5 years.
  14. Really difficult to gather much at all from this bunch of friendlies, surely the management are disappointed? They've not played anything resembling a starting 11 (for perhaps understandable reasons), and other than today, not much more than 45minutes. I havent seen much in terms of link up or pattern. Its been a good opportunity for the kids whio have all looked good and taken their chances, they looked especially brilliant vs Walsall. Our forward line is going to look so different this season and you would hope our midfield was going to be shaken up too, but all of that is yet to play together. I fear a slow start and post-Jack hangover. Lets hope Sevilla is a decent outing with a bit more direction and purpose?
  15. Still rolling on eh? I'm coming back at page 3000. See you at 8pm.
  16. Lol! You think he is lording it on holiday , just waiting to breeze in and open his post? A league record sum and huge wages are being pushed around the table - he will be all over it, as will the clubs and agents, and likely have been for weeks.
  17. It won’t be a waste if we spend it very well. The worry is we lose another year and finish 13th, then are not in a position to attract 3 x £60m players plus their commensurate wages. It’s not easy at all and this makes it harder.
  18. A gentleman’s agreement is the same as a release clause if you are a gentleman (and have integrity). It just means the club means nothing to Jack. He could have at it all here and more, the opportunity so few have the privilege to do. TBH if he played another blinder, had a great World Cup, he could have picked a 5 year deal next summer for £400K p.w.
  19. Absolutely. But it’s the Delph bullsh*t that goes with it that makes it so false.
  20. Disagree. He is as mercenary or duplicitous as any, all have improved themselves at the detriment of the club. However the club promised him everything: Captaincy, biggest salary ever sanctioned, building the team around him etc, he had every reason to stay if he was a true fan and had integrity. The timing is also selfish and as bad as it could almost be. If others deserved booing, he deserves as much if not more.
