  1. I think he was correct there, Dutch football is Championship standard at best IMO. Ajax have a nice big stadium but that's about it. Even Dutch people don't talk about Dutch football much. Champions league, a famous academy which he could learn a lot as well as working with legends like Bergkamp and playing in a big stadium in a winning team compared to Loftus Road, Harry Redknapp, Clint Hill and Joey Barton On the other hand, when he was at QPR, he could be near his family, knows the local area and also worked under the then manager (Redknapp) at spurs so he would've been familiar with the way he works. In my opinion, the move made sense, i don't know why it didn't work out, i think he's a great football talent who i would welcome here
  2. Been linked with tom carroll on loan, i'd take him, i think he's an excellent player
  3. The window is still yet to even officially open. We are being patient and trying to maximise our spend. I don't see the problem with that. As for Amavi, we had the offered accepted - an offer more substantial than that offered by Lyon - the player just wasn't keen. We actually had the bid accepted? Where did you see that?
  4. He looks terrific, i hope we sign him
  5. It isn't actually. His good performances were based upon intense pressing and general off-the-ball work. With the football he was limited - his touch was poor. Not even sure why that is being disputed actually. For the price we bought him for i thought we got value for money personally
  6. Been linked with joshua onomah, another young spurs player, he's an exciting talent and has played for england at youth level
  7. Edit- tjaronn chery, never heard of him personally
  8. Southampton have made a bid for ogbonna apparently
  9. Gardner could come in and start games in my opinion, don't see why not, would be great to see him in the side
  10. Will he? Edit: Westwood and Gardner are not good enough IMO. Sanchez needs to seriously step up his game. Westwood not good enough? In my opinion, he's one of our most important players, does such a good job for the team, his contribution goes unnoticed i think. Gardner hasn't had a run of games but he showed promise on loan at forest last seasonI don't rate him. I like the way he tries to play but I just think we need to be aiming for a higher calibre of player if we are ever going to improve. What don't you rate about him? I think he is an excellent player, i think if we sold him, he would go for a fairly big profitI think he is as good as he is going to be. Nice tidy player who does the simple things but that's about it. His defensive skills aren't the best and he only seems to be able to move the ball around in the middle of the pitch. No real end product and quite limited ability. If we sold him we'd get around 3M I reckon. I wouldn't be against him staying as a squad player but I would hope we eventually have better midfield players starting. Fair enough, i think we'd get about £5m for him, who would you suggest to replace him with? Who knows. Out of the players we have been linked with N'Zonzi would be decent I guess. I can't remember any other centre midfielders we are apparently looking at apart from Huddlestone who I guess isn't that much better. Fair enough, i think a midfield 3 of westwood-delph-n'zonzi would be great but whether n'zonzi would come here is debatable

  14. Agreed and I don't think we have any intention of going that high, thus the 'derisory' opening bid. If we do land him, it'll be nearer to the £7m mark. Agreed
  15. Let's assume it was half of the £10m. That's merely an opening offer and it's not a million miles from £8m. We might get him yet! £4/5m would be great business. He'll cost quite a lot more than that i'd imagine
  16. He showed signs of real promise in 12/13, some of his link up play with benteke was fantastic but he didn't follow it up. He'll do well at derby but he was never good enough for us in reality in my opinion
  17. Was he? I thought he was yes, i thought he played a big part in us staying up that season
