How’s he missed that chance? It was on a plate for him. He had a really frustrating second half overall with really poor control that broke down our play a few times.

The celebration was funny at the time until it wasn’t. I think the criticism is justified when the job isn’t done yet and he goes on to fluff a golden opportunity.

Gutted. On the balance of play we deserved the win. Encouraged that Unai managed to instil more fight in them today and got things tactically good. But the players were the ones who let us down today by not putting away their chances. We had enough to put the game to bed very early on. Not good enough.

We’ve dominated that half and should have scored. Happy to see a performance today so that’s a real positive so far. I’ll say it again, ref is bent, in many ways.

Why is everyone so surprised with backline? Pau was never gonna start this game, he had no minutes the last and Digne has just got back from injury. Carlos was clumsy last match but a lot of our failings were in midfield, not defence. We've got to believe and trust these players. Hopefully Ramsey back in coincides with some tactical tweaks. UTV!

Excellent post. I never looked at it this way and you could well have a point. It’s a marathon not a sprint springs to mind. Let’s hope this pans out over the whole season.

As I said in the match thread, I always saw Unai as an adaptable manager. The injuries have ravaged us but somehow we persist in trying to play the same way. He is coming across as stubborn but surely some pragmatism would help “stop the rot”. But perhaps his hands are tied? I am tactically naive though and have no clue what these changes could be. But in Unai we trust, he will get it right. We’ve come such a long way and we need to get behind him and the team.

But we were playing against a woeful Sheffield Utd. This set up has been shakey for us in the last 10 games and I would have thought there would be some sort of plan B. What that is I have no clue, I'm no football manager, so maybe I'm being naive. But I agree, our back up centre backs are just not up to it are they.

Yes we did. I already forgot that, my bad But Kosta won't be in the squad anyways. I'm just anxious to see someone replace Cash for the rest of the season, he's becoming a real liability.
