  1. looks like i've give it the kod thats looking a tad optimistic !!!!
  2. not wishing to temp fate or anything like that..... .....so at 164/3 what do we all think will be a good score? I am paying my first ever visit to the Oval on Saturday. Sitting in the Bedser upper stand. Looking forward to it. Anybody been in that stand in the past. Any tips?
  3. Just started watching Unmasking a Killer. https://www.sky.com/watch/title/series/4cba2119-d046-4fe8-815f-e55c4e7158e9/golden-state-killer-unmasked The true crime HLN Original Series "Unmasking A Killer" profiles the terrifying real-life story of the Golden State Killer, one of the nation's most prolific uncaught serial killers, who is responsible for a staggering 50 rapes and 12 murders in California. The case is over 40 years old. Its a 7 part true life story on Sky Witness. It's typical of this type of American true crime documentary where each episode repeats itself a little but its worth the watch.
  4. England team for final test England have made two changes to the side for the fifth Ashes Test starting at the Kia Oval on Thursday. Sam Curran and Chris Woakes have been named in the team, with Jason Roy and Craig Overton missing out from the XI that played the fourth Test at Old Trafford. England team for fifth Ashes Test: Joe Root (c), Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Joe Denly, Jack Leach, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes.
  5. My mate who has a stutter was telling us about his nana. By the time he was finished we were all singing hey Jude.
  6. Exactly....despite the abject failure of Roy, Bairstow and Buttler we keep the same squad !!!!! They really do think they are better than they actually are !!!! If ever there was a time for an overhaul.....perhaps it will happen after the test series post mortem.
  7. 132 ball remaining....hang on in there
  8. wtf did Buttler leave that one for????
  9. 36 overs to hold on.....come on England, come on.
  10. shite....i'm going to the Oval next week. I am not looking forward to seeing the smug Aussies get the little urn presented to them
  11. I would also add Buttler to the list as well, regardless of how many he gets in this match. We need a complete re-think and overall of the test squad/team. IMO we have tried to accommodate too many of the one day team and keep them 'happy'. We are not as good as they think they are.
  12. as disappointed as i am from an England perspective, what i have watched has been a most enthralling day of test cricket.....
  13. top one day player but not a test player by any stretch
  14. the crowd cheering every time the ball is thrown back to Lyon to catch is a classic piece of English cricket crowd humour... very funny indeed
  15. shite, didn't need that !!!!!....Burns and now Root..... 322 behind, need a big partnership now come on Roy, Stokes dig in there
  16. crikey, he's out !!!!! getting to squeky bum time for Burns and Denly....
  17. double ton for Smith....what a player... take a bow but better than that, they've shown Jim Coombes on the tv just before it
  18. Well, thats this test gone !!!! Aussies 356-5 Smith 168 no - Paine 50 no The question now is will Smith get to a double ton? and with his figures from all of the Ashes matches he already has to be nailed on as man of the series. Current odds at Corals are - England 16/1 - Draw 10/11 - Australia 1/1 Evens for the Aussies looks too big to me.
  19. #metoo just can't keep my eyes off em......all shapes and sizes
  20. and there we go...the breakthrough Labuschange out for 67 bowled Overton come on
  21. and still there with a partnership of 106 Labuschange on 61 and Smith on 47 !!!! They have not really looked in trouble. Mind, I don’t think we have bowled particularly well to trouble them either. Unless we break this pair we are already getting close to the point where the game will go away from us.
