  1. The last thing City's owners seem to want, is to look small time by quibbling over price. Everton stuck to there guns and got a ridiculous amount of money for Lescott. Man City could have easily had someone else there for cheaper. But they didn't.
  2. If Man city have ambition to win things then they really need to buy some centre backs, not strikers and midfielders. Which they have in abundance. And the only players i'd take off them would be De Jong and Tevez. Because anyone else, I either don't rate or they will massively over value. (and i realise they'll never net Tevez leave)
  3. The best thing is this game is still jumping off the top of a building and landing right in the saddle of your horse. It's jut cool.
  4. No because banning them make you look like joyless bastards. And if you let them in you'll have a few for maybe one or two matches, then people will get completely bored of them. It amazed me in the world cup how they kept it up all game. British supporters will not do that.
  5. How comes this thread stays open? Because I think, maybe.. There might be a couple of threads that already cover, the like NRC, don't like Petrov debate. Maybe not.
  6. Its a totally a loaded question, by adding the "long term". Knowing Petrov is too old to be considered a long term option. So I'm not voting because the only answer to that question is neither.

    Do you read?

'Juggers' is surely his greatest work.

Agree completely. Don't let the fantasy aspect fool you, it's immense. I was thinking of picking this up but was put off by the parallels to Harry Potter in that it’s essentially a kid’s book. Just how geared for kids are they? They are in no way children's books. The Potter comparisons made are lazy and quite frankly laughable. Seriously, give them a shot. There are sections of those books, that would give some kids nightmares. The first two are great, the third one is completely mental.
  9. This is a truly damning vote for ITV. I feel that ITV is football coverage for people that aren't really into football but feel they should watch the world cup. Hence dumbed down, and revolving around James Corden.
  10. I hope there's some new speculation soon, so I don't have to keep reading about the pros and cons of Nigel **** Reo-Coker in the transfer speculation thread.
  11. Thing with all these Man City links and signings, what about this 6 plus 5 rule? Apart from Milner(possibly) there shipping out there British based players, and getting in foreigners.
  12. We're becoming the SPL! It's what Rangers and Celtic have done for donkey's years.
  13. Seems to me that all Man City are doing now is unsettling players at the clubs around them. And if they actually sign them, so what? They can afford it, and they don't need to play them. They've already took players from United and Arsenal. Probably Chelsea being the only team that have money to hold on to players. So next they'll target, Spurs, Liverpool, Villa and Everton.
  14. It's not losing Milner in particular, that makes it such a bad idea to me. If you sell two of your best players to close rivals two years running, you might as well tell the squad (and the fans), whoever has the best season will be going to City next summer.
  15. I read that it can be bugged on some games. If you skip the sequence of the other guy showing you what to do then the time shortens and its nearly impossible. You have to watch them every time. This seemed to work for me and I did it. It still took ages though.
  16. My understanding is that Randy wants the club to break even from an operational perspective but he will contribute to new signings. Therefore, we probably do have to sell to buy BUT not to fund the transfers necessarily more to reduce the wage bill to create capacity for new additions. Yep that is pretty much spot on what my understanding was. Seems to be a fair enough approach too.
  17. I finally did it, but it must have took me over an hour. And there was some serious swearing going on.
  18. I just looked it up Dan Houser has still written Red Dead Redemption, so all intends and purposes it is going to be very Grand Theft Auto.
  19. Yes! The summer is here, I fricking love the bollocks speculation.
  20. Well in that sense you'd want two elected houses. One PR the seats divided between the parties from which to form the government. And the second elected in constituencies, to represent local issues in parliament.
  21. If this finishes a draw Moyes should clearly be sacked.
  22. James Milner does not need an agent and James Milner does not get paid. By default James Milner has a bank balance of infinity and this will never decrease. James Milner has no need for money. If James Milner asks for something, you give it to him.
  23. James Milner choreographed Stifler's dance-off scene in American Pie 3. It was based on a Christmas party dance-off between Milner and former Leeds and Aston Villa manager David O'Leary.
