I agree, 3 transfer windows to get it sorted but there really is no excuse for he wafer thin piss poor squad we've got, it just smacks of struggle struggle struggle, surely the chairman/CEO/manager can see this and surely Lerner will want to protect his investment by not getting relegated, well let's hope he does anyway.
  2. Ince & Phillips from Blackpool would be nice, Rhodes I honestly think could cut it at the top level so how about £4m plus Delfouneso in a offer to Huddersfield, then we'd need a couple of experienced players in to help the youngsters, jeez I just hope we do something in the next few days.....

We won't beat Newcastle next game, nor will we beat Swansea or Southampton in the following games, we need investment and need it now, otherwise f**k off out of our club Lerner....

3-0 down at home, apparentley all Everton and joint bottom of the table, ffs get you're finger out Lerner or get out of our club.
  5. Oops, suppose I should have put it in there, apologies....
  6. But it's another player we've lost to injury for 6-8 weeks, with our already customary thin squad it's again getting thinner before the season has kicked off, hopefully a couple of reinforcements will be in before the start of the season.
  7. Marc Albrighton looks set to miss the first six to eight weeks of the new season with a foot injury. The Tamworth-born winger suffered a broken metatarsal in the first week of pre-season training and is likely to be on the sidelines until October. The injury has ruled Albrighton out of Villa's entire pre-season programme so far. The 22-year-old has been wearing a protective boot on the affected foot. Albrighton joins Gabby Agbonlahor and Richard Dunne on Villa's casualty list going into the new campaign. Agbonlahor is out for around a month with a knee problem sustained on the USA tour. Dunne will be out of action for around six weeks having undergone a procedure on a groin injury.
  8. My Dad's got one and they seem generous, he's a big man. Cheers 8pints?
  9. Does anyone have the polo shirts that are priced at £29 on the OS, just wondering how generous the sizes are as I normally struggle with how comfortable things fit with being tall and a having a little bit of a beer/cider/jäger belly, any info much appreciated so I can proudly wear the Villa clours when I'm in Cyprus next month, cheers....
  10. O'Leary I really didn't mind and I thought he done the best he could, like already mentioned I think Houllier could have been ok for us, as for McDick what an absolute disaster right from the start to the bitter end, hopefully the board/club will never ever sink that low again because last season was just horrid.
  11. 8pints, do you not think a striker is too far forward to be shouting orders etc... or is it just me that thinks defence or midfield is the ideal position to be captain.
  12. Dunne was the only one I thought off as well but refrained from saying it due to like you say he may not even be here, would it be a problem for the existing players for a complete newcomer to be installed as captain ?
  13. Just wondering who people think will be the captain next season, will it be someone from the existing players or a new signing solely brought in to captain this great club. To be honest I can't think of anyone that we've got that is decent captain material, I'm against goalkeepers or forwards being the captain so out of our defenders/midfielders I'm really struggling to identify a new leader...
  14. KSV, did you get the pm I sent you yesterday, if you did maybe the price I put in there for a British Airways flight scared you off (and that was with my discount), if you've maybe sorted out getting to the game then maybe we can work something out about getting you back to Cyprus although the BA flight to Larnaca would leave LHR at 08:30 on the Monday morning arriving Cypriot time about approx 4pm, again not sure if that's any good to you.
  15. I'm very optimistic that we can/will finish anywhere from 8th-12th, I don't think the squad is that poor tbh it's just that we looked that way under the imbecile that won't be named, again as already mentioned I'm not sure a marquee signing would be essential but I'm all for Lambert to carry on buying as he has started and as he did at Norwich, we need rid of Hutton and I think Lambert will get rid of him but I would actually keep Warnock as I still think he can do a job for us at left back under Lambert....UTV, SOTC.
  16. Yeah keep them coming Julie, although I'm on Twitter anyway and see a load of the rumours there I always check what's been posted on here a well, I don't actually believe half of it but I certainly wouldn't want to see it stopped, I suppose the moaners have to have something to moan about.
  17. Why is it WTF ? If it suits the travel needs better then that's obviously the better solution, or has it got to be to you're liking CI.
  18. Where does Ramis play ? Sorry for the ignorance but I've never heard of him.....
  19. 6 goals from right back, perhaps he can teach Gabby a thing or two about scoring.
  20. I think Lowton will be a very good player for us, just a hunch after the Sheffield Utd matches I saw on Sky last season, Welcome Matthew.....UTV SOTC
  21. What time have you got to back in Cyprus on 1st October ?
  22. I saw a couple of Sheffield United games on Sky at the back end of last season and was impressed by him, IIRC he has a tremendous shot on him as well, wouldn't be a bad buy at all IMO....UTV, SOTC.
  23. Really, Reading & Southampon two teams that play good exciting football and have a fair bit of money to spend may be thinking that we will be an easy touch after last season, QPR will have money to spend and WILL spend, West Brom, Norwich & Swansea will be unpredictable under new managers just as we will, Stoke will be mid table again, West Ham I'm not sure about and Wigan like Coventry & Southampton years and years ago will eventually flirt with relegation once to often and finally go down. What I'm tring to say is, on paper yes we should be finishing above these teams and whilst I know ths season is going to be better than last but I just don't see this as being possibly one of the weakest in PL history.....UTV SOTC
