  3. I thought it was an entertaining game for prem football. I was quite impressed with Wolves to be honest, if they keep playing like that, they have every right to be in this league next year. Onto us. I thought we would win this game confortably, but with them playing 5 in midfield they could utilise the extra man to double up on our wingers. Young's crossing from open play was brilliant, I really enjoyed watching him yesterday. I thought Carew put himself about aswell, and he did well - though a little lucky i guess - to pick up two goals. Cuellar struggled and their winger (Jarvis?) got the better of him a few times, but failed to do anything with it. I agree with the majority that L Young needs to start the next game, just to give us that extra bit of balance in the team. I even thought Heskey had a decent game - his only problem is he's just not penertrating enough - although he was unlucky with that header which lead to the goal mouth scramble at about 65 mins. Its rare for him to have a chance where he gets to actually shoot and to me thats either poor mobility or poor anticipation. It wasnt an ideal result, but lets face it, this season will see weirder results. Just enjoy the run in. And to the baldy 'I think im dead hard' bloke in the lower north next to Trinity saying '**** off o'neil, your not good enough for this club' please remember that this season we have played at wembley already, are going to again with the possibility of making it 4 times in one season - something not done ever and we are still in with a shout of 4th with 8 games to go.
  4. my link broke down, anyone else having trouble? if not, gimme the link lol
  5. will it be online? I loved a game called GUN on the PS2, it was brilliant at the time. I never played red dead revlover though, seemed a bit cartoony at the time.
  6. **** hell, stop being nerds for once in your stupid speccy lives and just say 'I will save the 5, as it is better than saving just 1'.
  7. I voted for Dunne because I thought he was the only one to show any real heart over the 90 mins. I was annoyed at half time - obviously, but I had faith at 2-0 that the next goal in the game was going to change it. Fortunatley for us it went our way and the result shows that 2-0, unless the whistle has blown for full time - is a horrible HORRIBLE score line. Carew - 8 - did well with 3 good finishes, but his first half display has been punished. Heskey - 6.5 (would have been 7 if he had scored the one on one (good save mind)) Ash Young - 6.5 - dragged us back into the game with a good finish Dunne - 9 I think he did 2 peoples roles today. The other central defender was very poor - although thats his first poor game for us, so can be forgiven. Collins - 4.5 - Not his usual self. /he was dominated in the air, let the ball bounce too often and often got in a tangle for the ball. Low composure with a couple of air shots when he could have cleared the ball. Warnock - 5.5 - Again, not his usual self defensively. Good assist though. Cuellar - 5.5 - Looks shakey at right back, IMO Young looks much more composed under pressure, and is a better passer. Cuellar is a proper CB because he needs more time on the ball to pick a pass, you don't get that privlege at right back. Petrov - 5 - Again, didnt really get on the ball very much and when he did he looked nervous and gave possession away when not under pressure. We need better from our captain. Milner - 5.5 - Looked lethargic (although after 85 mins chased the ball about 200m around the pitch!) But his composure was indifferent compared to normal and I think he actually looked better on the wing today. Downing - 5.5 - (extra .5 for his assist) 1 good cross and one goal, looked to be outmuscled everytime he was challenged, even his passing was poor. Friedel - 6 - Spilt a few shots he would normally scoup up. Didnt come out for crosses often after they nearly scored after 10 mins. Poor descion making.

I still dont like the way the keepers run off the line, whether you hold triangle or not. Its never really been a problem but lately i just KEEP getting lobbed. lol oh well, onwards and upward!
  10. hey sellyoak, Im a EPC assessor and I have been looking at bio boilers...i know... just off the top of your head, would you know the differences in energy consumption between a bio and a bog standard combi boiler? i.e. how cost effective are they? How much are they to install etc etc
  11. I think to call him the next Gerrard is very premature..I mean, as someone as said in the 14 games in the middle he has played for us, against stoke an liverpool i didnt think he was brilliant. I just hope that given a proper run of games to get familiar with the roll, he doesn't have as dip in form like ash or gabby have in the past. I think you have to be consistantly good over a long period i.e. 2/3 seasons to be classed anywhere near Gerrard. I love him though, and he has got the POTENTIAL, lets hope he realises it sooner rather than later.
  12. I thought Downing had a quiet game. Ash should have buried that one on one, at this level, there is no excuse for missing one on ones, he could have put it anywhere. Saying that, after the miss he played very well, very direct - as he was doing last season. Heskey was ok, toward the end he made a few sloppy passes as lost possession, but on the whole he had a good game. The fonz's goal was very well taken, but he didnt do much with the ball afterwards, lost possession a couple of times but he always worked very hard. Made some good runs which weren't picked up. Guzan was very good, I said to my brother he'd save it - and he did. Didnt see their goal but it looked a bit strange. Nigel was good, he's got such a tight turning circle and found space everytime he got the ball, bery good game. Collins was very good in the air again, and made a very good tackle around 70 mins to stop them going through for a one on one. Beye gets out of position too much for my liking. He's a decent passer but not much else I dont think. delph looked good when he was on. But i dont think he looked good against arsenal - so maybe hes a bit inconsistant, i dunno, but today he was very good.
  13. I reckon this will be the kick in the arse that we need. After the Man Utd game we HAD to win against Sunderland to make that win worthwhile - we did it. We beat Stoke at home and I think there was a visble tiredness - but we won 'ugly' This game was a no pressure game really because our former wins meant it wasn't THAT important a result. MON wont be happy and neither am i, but we lost against arsenal away, plenty of teams will do that. The way their fans were jumping about you'd have thought they had beaten utd!
  14. James Milner appriciates this thread, but feels it should grow to at least 1000000 pages in length.

I think i've found my level now (24/25ish) Keep getting beaten by knobs who change formation and full pressure!
  16. I laugh at you for saying this thread has turned into a love in. I also hope that you have never fought over some football banter thats gotten the better of your attitude. I don't love the blues, but i also dont have the 'obsession' over them like some of you appear to have. If anyone fights over football (as in robs case on last page) then yes, whoever they support, they are scum. But I have an uncle and grandad who are noses, they are just normal working class people who have done alright for themselves over the years. Andy, the video I linked has other videos down the right hand side, its not just that video I was talking about. If you look at the comments for each video, there are as many villa fans baiting then there are blues. (Although i'm aware they are mostly key board warriors) But on the whole, the reason I started going on about 'loving the blues' is because its something i have always wondered about (other fans opinions anyway) Hope i haven't offended anyone!
  17. It's a subtle attempt at baiting that I'm not going to raise to so there!

Found a good way of defending without diving in and getting bridged. Its also useful if the ball is pinging around your area. Hold L2 & R2 and X It jocking, but maintains pressure so if your player can, he can nick it from players' feet.
  19. Na, I appriciate the banter. Its good. I just don't understand the malicious comments on a website where there are no noses... As I said, let them sing it, we all laugh when we hear it on match of the day, yet sometimes (esp away from home) we do the exact same... its retarded lol
  20. And you don't think they are subjected to the same treatment at our ground? It happens at ALL rivalries away grounds... I went to see Man Utd V Liverpool when Utd won 3-1 I saw some pretty unsavory things outside the ground, its not just blues fans. And its not a blues love in, its just trying not to be petty, throwing insults at them (like they will be doing to us on another forum) its just time to treat them like any other football club. Having said that the atmosphere on derby is great, I love the passion, but rather than shouting 'break that **** leg!' - cant we just support our own team and say 'great tackle!' or summat? lol.
