  1. Don't suppose anyone would be able to help me in acquiring 2 tickets would they? I only have home booking history so would have to wait until March and still only get 1 ticket.
  2. Disappointing but not a bad result. Should have won as we had enough chances in 1st half. I wish everyone would stop being so **** negative on here though.
  3. He needs service to look lively. He can't run around like a headless chicken.
  4. I really don't understand what people see in Adam. He's a relatively big fish in a VERY small pond. I've watched him closely a few games now and he tries the "Hollywood" ball way too much and the majority of those passes are misplaced. Don't want him here. Anyway.....Good half. Creating chances, need to be more clinical though. Defence holding well except the corner, but we are shit at defending corners. Something pissed me off though....We nicked the ball of them in their final 3rd. Young had it, Bent was clean through centre of goal yet he chose to pass right to Downing and it came to a timid shot. Bent would have put it away 100%. We NEED to give Bent some service. All in all, happy. Just need to score in the 2nd half, probably need 2 actually because they'll probably score too. 3-2 Villa
  5. Finished my 13th season with Solihull Moors. 2022-2023. Prem: 3rd. FA Cup: 5th Rd. League Cup: 4th Rd. Champo League: 1st Knockout Rd. Built on last season. Improved in the league a little, gaining one place. No chance of losing in CL Qualies now. Decided to send my star striker on loan to Man City for the season which bagged me £16m. This money enabled to me go out and buy about 10 youngsters for the future. They were all then sent on loan too, bringing in just over £10m in loan fees. That money then meant I could buy a left winger from Celtic for £13m. Beat Bayern to his signature and he is class! Lost to Dortmund in CL. Had quite a tough group with Barca, Zenit, Auxerre. A good result away to Barca (1-1) basically got me through.
  6. The idiot doesn't know whether he's coming or going!
  7. Finished my 12th season with Solihull Moors. 2021-2022. Prem: 4th. FA Cup: Won. League Cup: Won. What.A.Season! Back up into the Prem and never expected it to go this well. When I was in the Prem last time round, I spent extravagantly and out of my depth. Since then I haven't spent a penny and that includes this season. That is one of the main reasons I've done so well I think. I had the quality of players but they needed time to gel. Well they had 2 whole seasons to do that before this one and it seemed to have worked. Started off really well going unbeaten in 7 and sitting 2nd. Over the course of the season I dropped off a little and Man City & Arsenal ran away. I was in 3rd/4th all the time though. Finishing up there comfortably in the end. Got good draws in both domestic cups and beat Chelsea in both finals. In the CL next season and I need the money badly. Both my centre backs finished 1st & 2nd in Young Player of Year. Still only an Icon though:(
  8. There's a scout at Harrogate called Andy Clarke with favoured club as Villa. He's rubbish though.
  9. Currently in 2022 on my Solihull game and he's never left Palermo. However he has absolutely bossed it. Every season an Ave. Rating of at least 7.6. Nominated for Ballon D'Or 9 times. Runner up once. Runner up in Midfielder of Year once. World Player of Year runner up twice. Quite simply incredible. Would probably cost a bomb though.
  10. Who would you say are the top 5 must buy players Andy? And other people. Don't mean Messi/Ronaldo, mean surprise stand out players this year.
  11. Finished my 11th season with Solihull Moors. 2020-2021. Championship: 1st. FA Cup: 5th Rnd. League Cup: 4th Rnd. Europa League: 2nd Knockout Rnd. Having got relegated I was favourite to go back up and expected to easily considering the calibre of players I bought, whilst in the Prem. Unfortunately I bought these players for ridiculous fees and ridiculous wages hoping to stay in the Prem. I didn't and therefore got in tonnes of debt. Ended up in administration 4 games into the season. Was still a stroll because I have some of the best Brazilian regens in the world. Finished with 101 points and that's including the 10 point penalty. I broke pretty much every Europa record too because I entered in 1st knockout round and smashed everyone about 15-0 on agg. My star striker scored 75 goals in 44 games in all comps. He got injured for last 3 months of season too. Trouble is I cannot buy anyone or sign anyone as I am way way above the wage budget. So I'm stuck with the squad I have unless I get players on loan without paying their wages. Still optimistic as I have some top quality players.
  12. I've used 4-3-2-1 all the way up and got Solihull from Blue Square North to Prem. -----Gk----- DR-DC-DC-DL ------DM---- ----MC--MC AMR-------AML ------ST-----
  13. In other news...strange managerial appointments in 2020. Mick McCarthy at Real Madrid & Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa.
  14. Finished my 10th season with Solihull Moors. 2019-2020. Prem: 19th. FA Cup: Runner-up. League Cup: 3rd Rnd. Not surprised I got relegated. An incredibly bad defence was the main reason. I started off with generally most of the squad that got me up. Compared to other seasons there wasn't many free agents about that were very good. Signed quite a few Brazilian regens for big money that are wonderkids. Also signed Nani, Vargas, NRC & Baines on frees. 1st 3 games of season were 7-1 loss away to Fulham, 2-2 Spurs at home, 7-1 loss away to Arsenal. Was about 12 points short of safety in the end. Still....at least I am in Europe next season and have got players way too good for the Championship. Will be in lots of debt though, already am in fact. Starting to get a little bored of this save though...I also have to mention how incredible the youth system Santos have is. They are producing 2 or 3 world class players every year.
  15. You mean as in set yourself a wage budget of not giving anyone a wage above a certain amount? If that's what you mean...No!
  16. Just starting one with Solihull Moors now, if I can get anywhere near the Prem in 9 seasons i will be very happy I found that I had to revamp my squad pretty much every year except between Blue Square Prem & League 2. Otherwise probably would have been mid-table at best. Also in pre-season create friendly competitions with high profile clubs and it will get you a bit of money. And when you are signing players on frees, don't just try and sign one player. Offer contracts to 1st, 2nd, 3rd options in case 1st choice doesn't come. If 3rd choice wants to sign before 1st choice has decided just delay it for a week. One thing I should mention is I found the board were never successful in getting me a parent club. And it took me until I was in League 1 to be able to sign players on loan. Good luck.
  17. Finished my 9th season with Solihull Moors Championship: 1st. FA Cup: 3rd Rnd. League Cup: 2st Rnd. Finally got promoted by winning the league. 3rd time lucky. Decided to change my transfer policy. Instead of waiting for everyone to leave their clubs after the contract ran out on July 1st and then try to sign them, I found that they were more likely to come to my club in the week betwenn 24th June and 1st July. So new budget's had been set and contracts were in the last week. Managed to sign: Stewart Downing, Matt Philips, Stephen Warnock, Seb Larsson, Darren Bent, Marton Fulop, Charlie Adam, Luca Cigarini amongst others. Worked well. Unfortunately DB injured his knee ligaments 2 months into the season, and never recovered. I had only 1 striker, Robbie Findley. An American who banged them in and supplemented him with loans. Won the league on the last day by 1 point over M'Boro. Also managed to sell the right back regen I bought last year for 4.6million, selling him for 11million & 20% profit.
  18. I think you are talking to me. In which case..A couple of years ago they decided to build a new stadium at the cost of £11m with a capacity of 11k. This is being filled out most of the time. I have asked a couple of times since to upgrade it but they can't afford it. I did also go onto FMRTE just to see what the maxed out expansion would be and it's only 22k.
  19. Finished my 8th season with Solihull Moors Championship: 20th FA Cup: 4rd Rnd. League Cup: 2st Rnd. Even worse season this time round. Sitting in or around relegation all season long. Sold some players for a total of £6m. Bought 1 player, a regen right back who looks really good for £4.6m. Then rest of squad was free's. Most notable ones being: Paul Robinson, Josh McEachran, Simon Church, Cameron Jerome, Wayne Bridge, Julien Faubert.
  20. Finished my 7th season with Solihull Moors Championship: 17th FA Cup: 3rd Rnd. League Cup: 1st Rnd. Season didn't start of great. Losing to QPR, then losing at home to Bournemouth in League Cup. Picked up a bit after that but the season was the same all the way through. Comfortable mid table. Never in danger of being relegated and never really in with a shout of play-offs. Pretty boring season all in all. Revamped my squad, as usual. Got in: Andros Townsend, Sean Scannel, Bradley Orr, Thorgen Hazard & Jay Bothroyd amongst others. Had 3 strikers and none could find the back of the net. Brought in £1.5 million through transfers sold. Hopefully will be same story. Improve squad more and win league. Here's to hoping.
