  1. Fair enough. I'm not judging Just curious as to why you'd want to. Personally I find the games where I just win over and over incredibly boring.
  2. What's the point of giving yourself a sugar daddy? Takes some of the fun away if you can just outspend everyone else.
  3. I'd be amazed if it didn't make a difference. Bringing on a fresh Gabby against a tired defence for last 20 mins, would most likely see Gabby rape it. As long as he gets the service that is.
  4. Finished my 6th season with Solihull Moors League 1: 1st. FA Cup: 4th Rnd. League Cup: 1st Rnd. JPT: Semi-Final. Much, much better season. Started off pretty well, taking top spot early on and never relinquished it. Good defence was the basis, as has been all the way up the league's. Conceded only 35 in league. Won with 94 points. Unfortunately lost away in Semi-Final of JPT to League 2's Grimsby. Out to higher league opposition in other cups. Sold some players, and got rid of a couple for a total of 57k. Signed a South African regen for 35k, then signed some on free's. The only 2 players I knew were Roy O'Donovan & Johnnie Jackson. Managed to get a couple of defenders on loan from Wolves too, who were both class. Was over my wage budget, but I don't think the board care that much considering how far I have come. They've agreed to upgrade youth facilities and youth recruitment too. Will be moving into new stadium now. More money Looking forward to Championship opposition. Bring it on!
  5. The list of Villa managers on my Solihull game goes like this: G.Houllier, A.Curbishley, D.Jones (Cardiff in real life), T.Pulis. Funny thing is Curbishley got them to 5th in Prem, won League Cup & lost in FA Cup final.
  6. Back post corners FTW! Trouble is whenever I set up corners they seem to go back to default after about 3 games. Bloody annoying having to redo them all the time, so I just leave them now.
  7. Finished my 5th season with Solihull Moors League 1: 19th. FA Cup: 4th Rnd. League Cup: 1st Rnd. JPT: 1st Rnd. Crap season all in all. Had to completely rebuild the squad in the summer as the people who got me into League 1 weren't good enough to keep me there. Was left with about 5 players before I started to sign people. Turns out I didn't do a very good job of that. Struggled badly all season never getting out of the bottom half. Just above relegation. Well known players I got were: Kevin Kyle, Patrick Kisnorbo, Romano Denneboom. Managed to get some quality regen on loan from Chelsea with a future fee, but he decided to turn me down at end of season. Now on a serious rebuild for next season. One bit of good news is the board have decided to build a new stadium. 11k capacity. Costing £11 million. £2 mil from selling Damson Park, £2 mil sponsorship, rest on a loan from a bank. Badly need it as selling out stadium most of time. Will be ready at end of next season.
  8. Finished my 4th season with Solihull Moors League 2: 1st FA Cup: 1st Rnd. Hereford away League Cup: 1st Rnd. Derby away. JPT: 2nd Rnd. Shrewsbury away. Not much transfer activity in summer as I thought majority of squad I had was good enough for League 2. Managed to sell a few players for a total of 76k. Got some people in on loan for first time. Then signed Eric Lichaj, Tom Soares & Gavin Gunning on free's. Season didn't start off too well going out of competitions early and sitting mid-table in league. Continued to sit just outside playoffs, until after Christmas where I went on an unbeaten run for a long time and managed to get into automatic promotion spots. Along with the other teams at the top slipping away a bit I managed to grab top spot in March and didn't let go thereafter. Despite me winning only 1 of last 5 games, still won the title by 4 points as 2nd placed Dag & Red had a worse end to season than me. Pissed off though, because board have now decided they are pulling out of doing up the training/youth facilities as we don't have enough money. Got £1.5 million in bank. Better give me big wage/transfer budget to make up for it. Am planning on letting quite a few players leave in summer, so will be doing quite a bit of rebuilding in regards to playing staff. Confident in my ability to get promoted for 4th successive season though.
  9. Finished my 3rd season with Solihull Moors Blue Square Premier: 1st FA Cup: 3rd Round. Lost away to Dag & Red. FA Trophy: Won it. Not much changed at the club apart from playing personnel and few coaches here and there. Managed to raise 180k in transfer fees by palming some players off that I didn't need any more. Crewe were more than willing, buying 4 for a total of £140k. A few players I signed that you might know are: Rob Kozluk (Sheff Utd RB), Martin Hansen (Youth L'pool GK), Steve Mclean (Plymouth ST), Matt Oakley (Leicester MC). Won the league with 97 points. Scoring 86 times, conceding 30 times. I hardly concede. Managed to do the Steam achievement of not conceding in 10 consecutive games. On and upwards to League 2. Still no luck with parent club or getting people in on loan though. Board have decided to upgrade training facilities and youth facilities though And halfway through the season Health & Safety closed one of my stands. Not that it mattered as attendance is crap.
  10. Don't know to be fair because I've only played one Villa game, which was a continuation from the patch, and now a Solihull Moors game on the latest patch. Was just wondering. Who went up/down in last patch?
  11. Finished my 2nd season with Solihull Moors Blue Square North: 1st FA Cup: 3rd Round. Lucky draw away to Man Utd to boost the coffers. FA Trophy: 1st Round Changed my tactic slightly. Going from counter attacking to control. Worked well. Got rid of a lot of players from season before and built a new squad again. Not really any well known players apart from our very own Elliot Parish and former Watford/Forest midfielder Gareth Williams. Had an incredible defence and paired with Parish meant I conceded hardly any. 23 in league out of 42 games, only lost 4 all season too. Scored enough. In FA Cup lost 7-2 away to Utd. That game got me £1 million. Got Manager of Year. Board have decided to increase training facilities and build a youth academy. Still can't get a parent club though.
  12. Finished my 1st season with Solihull Moors Blue Square North: 10th FA Cup: 2nd Qualy Round FA Trophy: 1/4 Finals Had to get rid of basically all the squad at the start except for 5 or 6. They weren't good enough and they have a massive squad. No transfer funds and 3.7k for wages. Ended going a bit over that. Also ended up going in debt by about 150k getting rid of people on frees. Nobody would have them. Basically adapted a tactic I had on my Villa game. Solid defence and try to nick a win. Defence part worked, but didn't have a good enough striker to capatilise. Ended up losing 1-0 after battering teams or drawing 0-0. Had 2nd best defence but something like 16th best attack. Didn't really sign anyone who's well known. Most well known probably Aaron Moses-Garvey, a former Bluenose striker. Also Joshua Vermooten, a former Leeds defender (South African). Now just need to improve the midfield and attack a bit and should go up next season. One thing worth mentioning was the inability to loan players. Impossible!! Tried all the way down to League 2 clubs and still wouldn't come. Not really worth trying Conference Premier Reserves as not much better. A hell of a lot easier on previous games.
  13. Got bored of my Villa/Forest save so have finished that now. Going to start a new one as Solihull Moors.
  14. Didn't see the game tonight but going on stats here. Barca 5-0 Betis. Messi, Xavi, Iniesta all played. Messi got 3 goals. Iniesta got 3 assists. Xavi got nothing. Now I am in no way saying Xavi isn't good, he is incredible but Messi is the best player in the world. And personally I rate Iniesta better than Xavi. And tonights game backs up my views.
  15. Have finished my 7th season in my career. 2nd season at Forest. This is how I did: Prem: 7th. Only a few points off CL. CL: 4th Rd. Newcastle. FA: Lost in Semi's to Man City. Europa League: Lost the final to Arsenal. Transfers in January were: IN - Pichu Atienza (£2.2m), B.Sagna (£1m), Paulo Henrique (Free), C.Wickham (£2m), M.Skrtel (Free), A.Areola (Free), C.Kameni (Free), D.Villa (Free), L.Diarra (Free), M.Balotelli (Free), J.Angel (£12m), F.Delph (£5m), M.Richards (£1m), D.Capel (Loan), Regens on loan. OUT - E.Lichaj (£800k), K.Wilson (£2.3m), M.Borrielo (£300k), A.Weimann (£1.3m), A.Smithies (£6m + 50%), N.De Jong (£2m), M.Stech (£800k), C.Cohen (Free), D.Bentley (£1.3m), Others out on loan. In JANUARY - M.Balotelli (£15m). Summer went really well. Managed to get rid of all players that kept me up and sold them for profits too. Then raided the free transfers to find some gems like Henrique, Balotelli, Diarra etc. Pleased with everyone I signed except Villa who turned out to be rubbish (34yrs). Season started really well, losing just 4 games in league from start 'till Feb. Balotelli was on fire. Then one game he was rubbish so I subbed him. Got pissed off and hated me. This was October. I still played him and still banged them in but hated me and wouldn't talk to me. Then in December & Jan he got sent off 3 times in 4 games for stupid stuff. Had to go. Never recovered as didn't get anyone else in to replace him. Was looking at CL until then. In Europa I decided to play my 2nd string. They won group easily (Inc. Porto). Then had easy passage till 1/4's, Juve away. Played 1st team and won 8-6 agg. Beat Olympiacos in Semi's but Arse too good in Final. Finances looking good. Net transfer profit of £20 mil. Board upgrading Training/Youth & Stadium.
  16. Try Domenico Criscito too. Plays for Genoa at start.
  17. Both at Porto on mine. Otamendi showing Galeano up big time. Galeano still good but Otamendi is just incredible. (I'm in 2017).
  18. That Swedish guy should have won goal of the year. Where you watching it POB?
  19. Iniesta is who I think will win. But Messi is the best payer in the world all day long, so should win on that basis. But World Cup years always go to someone who played well at the WC.
  20. Have now finished my 6th season in my career. After leaving Villa at the end of last season I was waiting for a decent job to come along. It got to start of November and still no job was forthcoming. Funny thing is I applied for a job in Blue Square South and got turned down!! Then Portsmouth (bottom of Championship) & Forest (bottom of Prem) both sacked their managers. Applied for both, got offered both but Forest were better of financially as well as being in Prem. This is how I did: Prem: 16th. In the end a win in the penultimate game at home to Stoke clinched safety. CL: Not in charge. Out in 4th Round. FA: Lost the final to Man Utd. First few games were really tough. Had 5 games before January window opened. Won one of those. Lost 3. In January did a beat of wheeling and dealing to bolster the squad. During Jan went unbeaten for 7 games but went downhill from there. Failing to score almost all the time. The FA Cup was my only respite getting kind draws against lower league teams. Then with 3 games to go I beat Man City at home and then Stoke at home to secure safety. Happy Days! Transfers in January were: IN - E.Cambiasso (Free), M.Borrielo (Free), N.Reo-Coker (Free), D.Bentley (£500k), N.De Jong (£800k), E.Lichaj (£800k), L.Ridgewell (£1.4m), A.Smithies (£6m), Regen on loan. OUT - Got rid of a lot of deadwood. Main players being...Eduardo, Chris Wood, K.Richardson, G.Barnes, L.Camp, R.Majewski. Totalling about £8.5m. Borrielo was dreadful not scoring once. Cambiasso was past it. Bentley didn't perform too well. Lichaj crap. Smithies was rubbish too....But NRC, De Jong, Ridgewell and the regen performed really well. Zavon Hines, already at the club, was to thank scoring the only goals and Elliot Grandin, also at the club, was incredibly good on the left flank. Now to rebuild immensely for next season.
  21. I've found a quick way to get morale up a couple of notches is to have a chat with them about anything and as long as they agree with you in the end they will be a bit more happy.
  22. Have now finished my 5th and final season with Villa. This is how I did: Prem: 1st. Best defence, 2nd best attack. Lost 2 games all season (and one of those was last day playing youths.) CL: Won it. Beat Barca & Real along the way. Fiorentina in the final. FA: Won it. Man U in final. CC: Won it. No difficult teams except Spurs in 4th rd. Club World Cup: Won it. New York in final. European Super Cup: Won it. Liverpool. Transfers at start of season were: IN - S.Mandanda (Pre-Contract), Ash.Cole (Pre-Contract), J.Obi Mikel (£3.5m), S.Romero (£15m), R.Lukaku (£6m), 6 regens for a combined £30m. 1 went into 1st team, others out on loan. OUT - G.Bale (£15m), A.Weimann (£2.3m), C.Clark (£2.8m), N.Delfouneso (£4.6m), G.Agbonlahor (£7.5m), T.Taiwo (£5.25m), G.Ochoa (£6.25m), Youngsters out on loan. Dzeko won European Golden Boot. Shawcross got in World Team of Year for 2nd year in a row. Ashley Cole turned out to be surprisingly really good despite being 33. Won every single competition I entered pretty easily in the end. Game got boring. So.....Resigned on July 1st and waited for a job I fancied.
  23. Hoffenheim have a foreground sugar daddy. So you should have fuckloads of money. Enjoy!
