    Real running riot at Málaga. 3-0 now, 55 mins or so gone. Lovely sidefoot volley across goal from Higuain, simple tap in for Ronaldo then a penalty for Ronaldo.

    Top of the league Valencia currently away to Barca. Valencia were 1-0 up at HT but Iniesta equalised 1 minute into the 2nd half with a lovely sidefooted goal after a nice 1-2 with Xavi. Game on. Madrid away to Málaga later too, which I'll be able to watch on Spanish TV

    Would have taken a draw before so will be happy with a draw now. Both teams had chances but I feel we should have won. Everyone did well but special mentions go to Stewart Downing and Petrov until he was knackered. Thought Petrov should have gone off instead of Ireland. 3 points off 2nd place, not bad. One more thing, tell NRC never to go past the halfway line, great player otherwise.

    Friedel had one thing to do all half, a simple long range effort from Essien. We should be in the lead, Ireland's guilt edged chance and Carew was unlucky a couple of minutes later. Apart from that though, a boring half. This is there for the taking. We need to work on corners in training though, rarely get past the first man.

    Chelsea: Cech, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Essien, Malouda, Kakuta, Anelka. Subs: Turnbull, Bosingwa, Zhirkov, Van Aanholt, Bruma, Borini, McEachran.

    Chelsea don't really have anyone they can turn too on the bench if they need to attack. Zhirkov probably being the best. A lot of inexperience on there. Ferreira should be got at by Young. Apart from him though their defence is still very good. Glad he's got both NRC and Petrov though, because we need them to win the ball for Ireland, Young. Fancy Ireland to have a good game now he isn't being burdened with defensive duties.

    Sounding good. Although I really don't care how nice the stadium looks or whether their is estates or fields outside. I always turn the crowd and stadiums and stuff off anyway to enable the 3D to run smoother.

    Not if Andy hasn't had the chance to see him play, but somebody else has. Hence Blackpool researcher setting stats. Hopefully he might be pretty decent, because if I recall correctly he had a good loan spell there.

    In all honesty I was worried at the start of the season, with everything that happened to us. Plus them getting some good players on paper. But I'm now looking forward to Oct 31st with optimism, which I don't usually with a derby.

    Yeah I would. Or maybe every 2 years, if it literally was just a squad update. But it isn't . I keep thinking about sticking FM05 back in. Never do though.

    I like the introduction of agents. And the bit about contracts where it says you do it all at once in the same conversation sounds good. Before it could take ages to come to an agreement with players over a contract with them coming back 2 days after each offer.

    So are you saying Heskey's best because he was the only player good enough to go to the WC or what dodgyknees said about the other players not being downgraded after a poor WC like other team's players will? Last year we could pick up Gago/V.D.Vaart from Real. So I'm expecting they'll be looking to offload some players again as they have a massive squad. Whether they will come to us or not though. I don't usually mess around with the team at the start. Not as if we need much tinkering to get into Europe anyway.

    You've got it all sorted then. :winkold: We didn't have anyone playing in the WC apart from Heskey did we? Not that I can remember anyway.

    At the start of the season, before MON left I thought about 7th/8th. So what sort of finances can we expect? Surely a good transfer budget seeing as we bought nobody and sold Milner for a hefty fee.

    Decent performance. Crouch's knockdowns to V.D.Vaart were causing us real problems and Dunne was at fault for the goals. Not a good performance from him. Neither was it from Carew. Never thought I'd say this but we missed Heskey.:shock: NRC was a beast in the middle, so glad he's getting played. Cuellar has to come back in vs Chelsea.
