Have just found out the Bilbao can sign Spanish players 16 or under even if they aren't basque nationality, so that's a bit of good news. And as soon as they sign they become basque.

I shouldn't have to score 4 goals just to draw the **** game!!!!! Over and over again!

Finished my first season with Bilbao. 1st half of season was fantastic, right up there at the top battling for the title. Attack was scoring like there was no tomorrow and was winning games comfortably as the defence weren't leaking to many. After January however the defence completely collapased. I only kept 3 clean sheets from January onwards. The attack was still on fire but Muniain got injured so had to rely totally on Llorente. Luckily Llorente was on form all season, finishing with 35 goals in 36 games. Spanish & Euro Golden Boot. I finished 5th in the end. Scoring 95 (the most) but conceding 63 (9th most). Goalkeeper made so many mistakes that led to goals it was becoming ridiculous. Trouble is I don't have much choice. 8 points off CL in the end. 2010-2011 pre-season and have so far signed Ander, Joseba Llorente, Javier Garrido and a 31 yr old backup AMC. Sold a few players too to raise funds.

I've tinkered and I'm happy he is about right for FM2012. Tinkered how exactly?

Personally I don't watch the games. I them on only commentary, fastest speed. I guess that's the main thing that speeds up my games. Boring!! Anyway, I get through seasons quickly cause I have no life. I even sometimes watch full games for tactical purposes. They take about 40 minutes on just over half speed. Instead of watching the game I have these little tabs on the screen which I find help me a lot more than watching the game: My player ratings, my players motivation, tactical analysis, action zones, opposition formation, match stats, match overview and match information.

Getting really pissed off with my Bilbao game. Coming into January it was between Real Madrid & I for top spot, usually changing every week. Then get into New Year and my defence turns shit! Top scorers in the league by a mile but because I am conceding ridiculous amounts I am losing games I should be winning easily. Last 4 results have been 2-2, 2-3, 2-3, 3-4.

I've only played one game with Bent, a Villa game, but I have to disagree with what you said. In a front 2, him being an advanced forward alongside a deep lying forward he scored over 40 goals in the 2 seasons I was manager winning Golden Boot in England & Europe both years. His goals won me the title. I've been playing him up top by himself, with Downing, Young and Hazard behind, and whilst the team has been playing well, Bent has been poor. I've only had one season and haven't been able to replace Heskey yet, so I've been relectant to play two up top. Just re-reading that and realised I made it sound like he scored 40 goals combined for both seasons whereas in fact he scored over 40 in each of the 2 seasons. Have edited my original comment.

6 games, sitting 4th in table. Beat Atletico Madrid 5-1, then lost to Mallorca 3-2 because the game was 2 days later and had to rest 8 of 11 starters. Beat Sporting & Valencia (both 3-1), drew at home to Barca 2-2. Top scorers in La Liga by a long way.

That Ander guy is a future transfer already for next summer. Along with some other youngster I think. Yeah and like you say you HAVE to keep your best players no matter what. Whereas on other games I would sell any player for the right price because you know you can sign a replacement. Won't be able to do that now

In my Bilbao game just did pre-season last night. Using the same tactic I used on my last game that worked at every club rather than creating a new one. Anyway, I literally scouted every basque player on the player search screen and put them all on my shortlist but not a single player worth signing wanted to come. I promoted one guy from the U19's as backup for 1st team and got rid of 3 1st team players but apart from that did nothing. Sorted out my scouts, got rid of all but 1 and signed replacements and signed a few coaches who had working with youngsters at least +18. Got a new assistant manager too, let him do all the friendlies. Won all but the first (which was away to Arsenal). Only played 1st league game which was away to Hércules. Won 6-0, Llorente got 4. Defence let them through a few times but they couldn't score. Deserved the win though.

2 months after getting the Man City job, my enthusiasm for this game has just completely died. So I am now starting a new game as manager of Athletic Bilbao.

November 2021, just took over at Man City. Languishing 16th in the table. Since the game started they've done nothing except a couple of League Cup & FA Cup wins. First game, Everton away. Finished 5-5!

Yeah, I start a game because I want to do well with that club, if I want to go off and manage another club I'd just start another game. Yeah but then you'll never get any regens in the game if you're starting a new game every 3 or 4 years. That's the worst thing about the game, the regens. I've never gone past the 5th season in any games I've played, I just can't do it. I think it's the pictures that piss me off the most, wish they'd just put an asterisk or something next to their name. Personally I love the longer games because I find real joy in finding regens at around 16, signing them for peanuts, bringing them through the youth team to 1st team and dominating everything with them

Only lost 2 games in all comps all season and 1 was the penultimate league game by which time the league was long won and the other was a CL Q/F 1st leg. Lost 4-3 away to Lyon because I accidentally put Sergio Canales in goal and didn't notice until the end of the game. I literally won every competition I entered every year during my 3 years at Real. Will now leave them and wait for a job in the Premier League.

In December 2020 with Real. Have won every single game so far this season. Just got offered jobs by Man City and Arsenal but as I wasn't able to delay either until the end of the season I decided to reject both as wanted to finish this season with Real win everything again then resign. Will then wait for a job in the Premier League.

He's a good goalkeeper. The reason he's not great is you can't rely on him NOT to make a mistake. Although he is the sole reason that Small Heath will be in this division next season.

Finished my 2nd season at Real Madrid. June 2020. Have now won La Liga (2), CL (2), Spanish Cup (2), Euro Super Cup (1), CWC (1), Spanish Super Cup (2). Have also now become the greatest manager of all time, overtaking SAF in the Hall of Fame, over 1000 points. Got a bit of a dilemna though, whether to stay as Real manager for a bit as have some cracking regens or to move back to Premier League and win the League, CL etc with a club there. Because I only won League, FAC & UEFA Cup with Villa. Will do that eventually but when is the question. Once I done that will quit this game as will then have won everything I possibly could in England, Spain, Germany & Italy. Have already won World Cup with Brazil.
