  1. Jeez how many games do we read that ? Hes destroyed the spirit and the soul and fckd us up o the pitch with too many rubbish tactivcs and positional mistakes, as well as changing a style that suited. It is no good him finally now making a couple of better decisions he has already ruined it. Feel sorry for him ? I would n't say on an open site what I feel for him after what he has done to us.
  2. Hi General I see Paul Faulkner has said "we wouldn't gain anyhing by sacking GH". Talk about damning with faint paise. If that is the biggest vote of confidence he can whistle up it is clear he shares our view of GH's suitability. Would you agree this is less than fulsome backing - and actually sounds like a man who is lost for what to do instead. Surely the Board can see the most overwhelming condemnation of a Manager in my 40 years of watching Villa has become a broad coalition, even some of those who would give him time are losing hope. We are not 'sack the Manager' fans - even O'Leary and G Taylor were treated relatively tolerantly. we are not some febrile rabid pack of idiots. Please listen to us, for all the reasons given, from tactics to player alienation to lack of points to destroyed defence to general air of despair. We still have a fifth of the season to go, it isn't to late if we act now.
  3. Totally agree. Been like it for months. Only NOT Mcdonald - that is where it all started to go wrong in the first place - he is NOT a Prem Manager. ANY currently unemployed Premiership Maager will give us a chance, wheras GH gives us none.
  4. Hello General Can't you see Houllier is filling this Club with despair ? 4 Years of hard work going down the drain.
  5. To blame Houllier for the players missing those chances is just nuts, although the buck will stop with him and people will rant saying they want him gone. Week after week the same players who were pushing for CL fooball keep failing - how can you NOT see it is down to the Manager ??? Those same players failed at getting the champions league spot...Explain that to me?Did you watch the game? Did you see all those missed chances? How on earth you can blame Houllier for the players missing in some cases easy chances it behond me. He put out the correct team from the players he had to choose from, set up was good attacking, but they didn't finish, that's what some of them get paid to do....Defending also, how **** hard it is to defend a corner...I understand we have 2 centre backs out who would have been playing, but the ones that were should have done a good enough job from the corners. Explain what ? GH has turned winners into losers. What did we win if we were winners? Enough games to be 6th and threatning rather than 13th and threatened - simple really - if you can't see the difference you are very lucky. We were shit the back end of last season, pre season and the start of the season before Houllier came....So we were winners when? Absolutely pointless to continue. If you can't see the difference between last year and this you are blind.

Explain what ? GH has turned winners into losers. Yes I watched the Game. Yes I saw the missed chances - watch MOTD tonight and you will see lots of Teams miss chances. In the end if you miss too many and concede too many you go DOWN, and that is a definite possibility in our case. There are many reasons why a winning Team is down to the Manager and so is a losing one. We are a losing Team, a consistently losing Team, and that is down to the Manager. You can carry on saying how many chances we make till the cows come home, but we are potentially one win off bottom - with a Team of excellent players. GH is the problem.
  9. General Houllier was right about one thing - we are very deep in a relegation fight (thanks to him). I keep hearing he has Randys support - will that be the case if he becomes the first Manager to lose us our Premiership status, and that with the same players (PLUS lots of exciting young players, PLUS 'better use of the Squad' - sic and 'better tactics')who just missed out on CL football and made a Final and Semi Final ? What a difference the right bloke makes, just ask Spurs, Liverpool, oh, and, er us.

  11. I keep reading stuff like this every week, as we slip closer and closer to the trap door. The amount of teams whos fans thought their football was too good to go down is huge. We have a Manager who cannot produce a winning side, a winning mentality, or a 'never say die' attitude - tht will affect us far far more than whether we occassionally play a bit of neat football. We are soft and full of a lack of belief.
  12. Sorry I have no idea how to do links to my record collectio but I have checked and it is available on Spotify ; for anone interested the lyrics are ; Holte End Hotel, Where I live, All year round, In my dreams It's where I live By the Ground CHORUS - I'll meet you where the Lane from Witton Stalls, They hurry when the voice of football calls ; Holte End Hotel Falling down (this was written in 1981 !!) Down down down Ballroom days Lochead plays Balding crown (rpt chorus) Have a listen - slowed down it is pretty anthemic in my view.
  13. Why not 'Holte End Hotel' (Stephen 'tin tin' Duffy) ? I always thought a slightly slower version of that would sound great, and it is specifically a Villa song. Can't do nothing about crap acoustics, no standing, and a silent 2/3 of the ground tho'.
  14. Hysterical overreactions ? The weeks tick by and we are desparately close to relegation - what is hysterical to see and be concerned by that ? Jeez - I remember people moaning blind when we were struggling to get in the top 4 -that was hysterical overreaction - but to complain/wory about us now ? Simple realism that is all.
  15. If viewed in isolation it looks ok - a draw with 10 men at team who do ok at home. But it isn't isolation, and it isn't just thepoint that matters. It is more of the same uninspired insipid rubbish, with people hopelessly wasted in wrong positions, with no motivation from the sidelines, having a bit more possession again and doing nothing with it - and it is another is a series of games where we have struggled, not just the odd game, but game after game.
  16. The usual lack of cohesion and spirit /Young, Downing, Gabby all out of position, wrong man off at 10 men - obviously put gabby up on his own - Hoping Bradley can impact from nowhere into this, Business as usual under GH as we struggle to avoid defeat against a club who can't buy a win. How many more games do we have to endure this crap ?
  17. Not been able to renew this year but from 2 ST's had 3 invites, 1 pair in first year it was open and 2 pairs the next year.
  18. Hi General I'm not over reacting and I'm not fickle. Our results are proof in themselves, and some of our performances, particularly some individual ones, are unrecognisable from the Team I watched last year. I have only ever once wanted a Manager sacked and that was G Taylor in his second stint. GH makes twice. Especially now JOl is available. We need to recognise an error and be ruthless in putting it right, get JOL and give him whathe wants, or 4 years work will go down the drain.
  19. Hi General For 4 years I had nothing negative to say about the Club, the Manager, or certainly not Randy (check my posts 100% behind you all through thick and thin), So it greives me to ask this question but I think it is a key question - Whatever the reasons MON left we all know that in one form or another it was related to money (whether signing players, wages, players not used or whatever). Have the Board now realised that whatever that disagreement was - MON was right in what he assessed as being needed ? The consequences of the Club not giving following the logic of his assessment, in whatever way it is described, is there for all to see, from knocking on the door of Champions League to hovering over the trapdoor of relegation in the space of 6 months, and in a season when the League is so wide open it could feasibly have been our year had MON been 100% given what he wanted.
  20. What a load of rubbish today, again. What a huge gulf there suddenly appears between us and ,say, Spurs. As for the 'Manager'. For starters, Young is a liability - there is now masses of evidence to show why Cuellar was preferrd there when we had one of thebest defences in the League. The other Young has consistently been one of the Premierships most destructive players - played on the left.....again, plenty of reasons to see why thats where he has been played. Neither of those are rocket science. A new passing game ? Never seen as many players without a clue what to do with the ball at their feet in my life. (AND a lot ofhoofing anyway). And don't even mention the tactics - this guy was renowned for negativity at Liverpool and it is becoming ingrained in us already. What a difference for the short time we attempted to think we could have a go. Things are only going to get worse if the last two months is a guide.
  21. Top Class performance, credit to GH who had the kids believing in themselves, no mean feat against Man U. But did those saying it was the best for years go to many games in the last 5 years ? What a difference Gabby makes, kept them totally occupied at the back, really showed when he went off. Downing excellent. If we play like that more often than not we will finish where we should, top 6.
  22. Another very average result and very average performance. One or two good individual performances in places. but against a Fulham side who themselves look poor we were pretty evenly matched. Oh dear..
  23. Must echo the above General. I work with Environmental Health Officers who have responsibility for safety at Sports Grounds, and they tell me they do NOT enforce the no standing rule in their Authority - so there are choices. Edgbaston Cricket ground ? Persistent standing. NIA/ NEC - persistent standing. Old Trafford - persistent standing All Champions League games - persistent standing. I don't live in Birmingham, but I ask all who do to petition your local councillor to ask why, when all Services are under review, this has sufficient priority to be enforced. Their EH Service has just been drastically cut, so that little food enforcement and noise pollution can now get done - so why are they singling this out ? We as a club should challenge it - what good to the fans is you having a good relationship with a load of councillors if this happens ? And as it is a Tory/Lib Dem Authority they are under INSTRUCTIONS from Party HQ to 'listen to the community....
  24. ? Embassassing - why ? For GH perhaps, though I doubt he knows or would be bothered. For those who have answered a simple question - do you currently approve of GH 'No' - what is embarrassing about that ? We haven't scored a goal for nearly a month in the League, and our performances are nothing special. Axe to grind ? - No. I certainly was a huge MON fan and think we won't get someone as good again, and I think Randy bottled it in the very season we needed one more push. So what ? It doesn't mean I won't support or applaud the next guy - if he merits it. To say that about Randy just makes the rest of your comment unreadable. Hopefully when Houllier wastes money on shit players and then walks out a fw days beofre the season starts he might gain your approval shocking attitude from Villa fans? on here. Truly shocking. Why ? Don't you agree he has not invested in players this season ? Don't you accept the Club have said they are reducing the wage bill ? Don't you accept the common view that MON walked because he wanted more spending than Randy was happy for? I think history will show that, just as Ellis did, Randy stopped spending at exactly the moment we could have broken through. Got nothing against him, think he's a smashing owner, but I think he blew it this year. Why is that so shocking an opinion to have ?
