Interesting reading what Forest fans are saying and they rate him as one of the best English fullbacks in the country. I’ve no idea, but we might be getting more of a player than some of us are giving him credit for - if he comes.

When he says “others are ahead of him” the simple follow up question is by what metric? By what statistical evidence does Jack Grealish not blow the likes of Mount, Winks & Ward-Prowse out of the water? Southgate is pathetic but the journos failing to ask the proper questions aren’t worth a fart. If performs as well this season as last this story will keep coming back & Southgate will break. All England fans know he folds under pressure. -

If we’re going for year-on-year progression at the same rate then the target really is 9th-10th for this season. That would be excellent progression imo, after that it’s a place by place scrap to claw upwards against some very good sides.

One thing to note about the reported knock back from Tammy is the willingness to drop at least £50 million (minimum I think he’d cost) on a striker, in addition to Watkins. That sort of money opens up options for some Real quality players in Europe.
