    His odds have just plumeted from 25 - to 6/1 - ominous ? excuse my ignorance - but who the f*ck is he ? LOL, he is a **** legend. Took a poor Dortmund to the top in Germany and also took the team to a Champions League final. He also took Bayern back to winning the league and brought them to the CL final against United. I think he is a better name than Jol.

    Thank you for still coming here and answering our concerns. Yes, Randy Lerner has spent the amount of money that was needed for a top 6-8 finish. And that is good. But it is the spending the next four years that will decide our future. Currently, it looks like Lerner is not too keen to keep the spending at what can be described as a modest spending. That is a concern to many of us.

    Heskey did very fine linking up with Albrighton and thus played a part in the first goal. Not good in second half, though. But gotta laugh at those who wanted Delfouneso up front on his own. Everyone forgot his display against Benfica?

    Yes, we need a goal and we have a striker who can't score playing away from home. Makes perfect sense. I think you miss the point. We have a result. We need someone who can hold the ball a bit and play it to a team mate, like he did when Albrighton crossed for our goal.

Well, reading Carew's interview, it was obvious that he had a special relationship with O'Neill (though he has always, as we know, been one of O'Neill's favourites, so that may be why). Not according to a lot of people on here. Every transfer window people were saying Carew would be sold because O'Neill hated him. Yeah, they are the people that Carew labeled "some rumor makers at the Internet" after the fall out rumor in the days after our season opener last year-

    Turn it around then. What's Albrighton's reward for being MOTM in every pre-season game. I suppose we could ask the PL if they'll let us field 12 players. Bahhhh I'd rather award Albrighton by bringing him on for 2nd half or for the last 30 minutes. Wasn't that Albrighton's reward last season's opening match against Wigan? At least almost, since he entered the field in the 68th minute.

    Any reasons why you suddenly started bigging up youth players like Lowry, Parrish, Weimann and Lichaj just two days before MON goes after what is reported to be a rift between him and the owner regarding money to spend? Are you preparing us for a future where the seniors who cost quite a bit in salaries are replaced with young and cheap players?

    Think there will be no new manager from outside. Kevin MacDonald. I fear that Lerner and Krulak believes the youths are better than they actually are, and that they think Mac Donald can achieve top 10 finishes with balanced books. Remember this quote from Krulak:

    I'm at work now, so I don't have access to the link which is on my home pc, but there is a forum where a lot of matches is available for download. I have actually downloaded quite a few Villa matches there, that I have forgot to tape from my PVR TV decoder.

    Since I don't watch the reserves, I have barely seen him. Not that I think he will be a big star, nor get a breakthrough at this level, but I think the focus rather should be to get rid of expensive players like Sidwell than a Togolesian player who actually seems to be able to pass the ball.
