  1. Its the same shite every night isn't it.lol
  2. No he simply meant the melton would be of "Bent type proportions". Referring to the meltdown when we signed Darren Bent! :winkold:
  3. Rafa is not many of our first choice, but some of the drivel posted about if he were to become our manager is laughable. He is a high profile manager with a top Cv, how deluded are us Villa fans? As someone said earlier, if the board listened to everything we said we would never appoint a manager! WAKE UP FFS!
  4. This has been one of my shouts foe a while, if we can't get in one of the top, top men, then this would probably be my favoured option.
  5. My bad then, I saw it on the website today!
  6. Has everyone blatantly ignored the post I put up on page 22 with the Birmingham mail article of Darren Bent saying we should get Ancelloti?
  7. Let the games begin.... http://tinyurl.com/Lets-Get-Carlo
  8. Do the people who write this shite purely for the wind up? Or are they on some sabotage mission. SMH
  9. anything above doubling our money and i'd probably be happy enough. if we ended up getting close to £50m for ash and downing it'd be great business. another £15-20m on sales and £30-40m from randy in and the new man has enough money to put a whole team together That sounds like a plan!! It certainly does, and may even be in Randy and the boards thinking. Lowering the wage bill whilst being able to allow a top manager (Carlo?) a real "Warchest" to spearhead a new era. Players who haven't gone stale on the club and all wanting to fight for the cause!
  10. I actually chose Martinez this time. Young manager, seems a good bloke and would be well driven to start a legacy with more substancial backing than he is used to. On paper though I feel Rafa would be the best out of that list. For some reason I just don't see all the fuss about Moyes.
  11. I'm warming to the idea of Martinez, and even Benitez, as it doesn't seem like Ancellotti is going to happen. Martinez really seems like a good, passionate manager, is young and has a lot of potential, always positive and his sides play attractive football. (Could bring Rodallega along perhaps). Also, no matter how much people hate Benitez the fact of the matter is that he is a first class manager. Hughes and Moyes are highly uninspiring for me, Moyes even moreso, if i had to choose between the two though it would be Hughes.
  12. Dammit i was getting excited about the prospect of Ancellotti coming, typical, safe uninspiring stuff from us.
  13. I think getting Ancelotti would definitely boost our profile as a club, and have a domino effect with regards to attendances, big players staying, attracting big players, earning the respect of our players and other clubs as well as helping us have better sponsors. Well worth it in my view!
  14. Has to be Ancelloti and Wilkins! Even if only for the reputation, pedigree, class and pulling power they would have here!
  15. Nothing less than 18 million plus the Ashley money, get Milner back in the middle and bring in a couple of wingers, Nzogbia and another big name foreign snazzy winger. This really is bollox now though!
  16. Fair enough, either way it would possibly be the biggest signing we make this summer, just based on his reputation and pulling power alone. I have nothing again GED but I really don't think he should continue, football is not worth him dying for.
  17. Just saw a story about us opening negotiations with Ancelotti, would be a bloody brilliant appointment!
  18. Pardon my French, but I was so **** proud of us the other **** day and DARREN was incredible! The goals, the effort, the skill, the passing...the WIN! **** HELL I WAS ON CLOUD 9! I wish we could play like that all the time! LOVE ASTON VILLA, they made me proud that day, and once i saw the formation I felt it in my bones, even said it to mates around me, AND IT HAPPENED!
  19. This is a joke right? Not even in the slightest.... I've always said it. :winkold:
  20. General I would implore you not to take the uproar too seriously. I am aware that I may be in the minority but I realise our priority is Premier League safety (AS IT SHOULD BE!) and that we are in a season of transition. I am fully behind the manager and board at the moment and I think we will get it right! We are on the way!
