    er. Ian I would argue it was designed to give the masses something to think about and give people power so over the time it is like that .... How much do they think the works of art the vatican owns is worth, I read upto £30bn so why don't they sell them and help the real needy and show up certain governments.

    ratboy totally right, just look at the wealth of the established churches and where did that come from except for the people. As for the parades they are a show of strength and remember conquests, running then through areas of these conquests is just stupid !!

    saw Fryatt in the U19 games and looks a very good prospect for one million and for the future an excellent choice. However we need a fix now and not for the long term and we have to get someone now.

    but getting Baros and no-one else is surely just not an answer it's no good having up front aand no-one at the back and no quality in midfield.

    Looking at the fact we have limited money and now need a Centre back (quality) a quality forward and a reserver left back and if Solano goes a quality right winger do you think it is time to kill the Baros deal and use the money in other ways

    Course he was only the very dumb can not begrudge a player for leaving us to go to Man Ure and three tophies and 30 goals in a season proved this. what I was angry about when he left was it was the time I realised the club had given up on their little ambition for us.

    Course it is Yorke by a distance, quality player and the only forward we have had in my lifetime of watching Villa who was good enough to play for the very best teams. Dean Saunders had one great spell for about 30 games and that was it, plenty of running, plenty of hitting bars but not quite good enough.

    Boateng was a better player than McCann is but the poll is diffcult as the choice is poor and still is. I keep saying this but until we get a quality midfielder we will never achieve waht we want to.

    If we could get him for the same price as we sold Vas then yes, but Palace are not that stupid !!

    So lets judge peopel feelings on Vas going do you think it is a good thing for us a club he leaves, good for Vas he leaves or a bad sign of things to come. This is not judging him vs Baros but just whether we should have let him go or not.

    We have not had a poll for a while so here is one. why do you think we have sold Vas ?

    If Angel is to be the Number one forward then Vas has to be kept and played alongside, his pace creates the space that Angel needs. IMHO Baros and Angel are just not compatiable but if DOL thinks that in the overal picture swapping Vas for BAros and paying about £3m is worth it then it is decision and a vital one.

    he's had potential now for 10 years and each time let himself, the manager, the team and the fans down. so we give him yet another year/chance to fail, the same as we do with Ellis.

    I don't think it matters now what Doug values the club at but his family. I have a feeling Doug is not well now (I mean more than just the OP) we have had no updates in more than a week now and nothing from him. I don;t know so this is a conspiracy throy but maybe Doug is no longer in a position to make the decisions but his family is and perspective buyers know this ... Once you know Petchey can be brought and Doug's family is in charge you can control the club.

    was Hughes injured at all last season because it seems with him we have brought another teams sqaud player. Berger has got quality but is never fit enough. Taken as an whole, average.
