Star wars for me, but it was close between SW, Indy and Aliens for me. I really like Aliens. And if Die hard had been there it would've got my vote, no doubt.

If we've got some good additions in, mainly in the midfield, I think we'll do fine and win 2-0. OPtherwise we'll struggle to get a draw. 2-0, Angel and Petrov. You heard it here first.

or, to phrase this another way, would you rather watch Villa in the Champions league at the Coca Cola Stadium, or mid table premiership at villa park. That's another good point. This isn't easy. At least not for me. But of course, CL is very tempting but there's no guarantee of CL, but still, you got a point.

I like the idea of "Fortress Villa Park" very much. But I still voted no. A part of Villas soul is in the VP IMO. But then again, £100m is a lot of money. Here's a question: What would you rather take, £100m for renaming it completely, Coca-Coal Stadium, or say £50-75m for keeping Villa Park in the name, MBNA Villa Park?

Will this thread reach 10 000 posts, maybe? To be on topic I'd really hate if someone else came in with a bid now. I think that would only delay Lerners overtaking. Can a bidder be adviced by Rotschilds not to make a bid if they think it won't be taken?

Well, for me it's also that I don't want to get sticks from my friends for Villa selling their stadium to rename it to The Coca-Cola Stadium. I'm more with the guy who wants us to take away the sponsors on the shirts but I know that will never happen and I really don't care that much about it. But to me some of Villas soul is in the name of Villa Park. and then again, most of my friends are Arse-fans anyway.

Well, the only argument I have is "tradition". I know it might be a weak argument but to me it's important. But still, guess this isn't the biggest issue anyway and I wouldn't complain too much if it changed, but I'd rather like it to remain as it is.

Don't want it to be renamed. But like the idea of selling the names of the stands. Wouldn't give as much money but it would keep the name VP. Maybe strange to call the Holte End for the Coca-Cola End but rather that than calling VP for Nike Stadium. Villa Park is a classic arena and should keep it's name as it is. But as said, wouldn't mind to sell out the names of the stands. Think it's a good idea. The more I read from Lerner the more I'm convinced he's the man. If someone comes in and f**k this up I think I'll come over myself and put a bullet through his head.

I would assume with the amount of money Lerner has he can buy his way out of anything. Yes, probably, but is it legal? It sure must be, mustn't it?

Just a question (don't know if it's been dealt with before, but feck me to go through all those pages :? ): If we're taken over by say Lerner, can he terminate the contract with 32red, pay them money and wave "byebye" and get a new, bigger and better sponsor in?

Give it up for one mistake made in a situation full of adrenaline and heat? No way. Even if I strongly agree with what he did was awful, a disgrace, I still thinks it forgivable. He's done so much more good things to football than bad.
