  1. I agrre with you totally, PB. Baros would be a name who could attract other big names to our club and we really need that. You hit the nail on the head for me, or whatever you say.
  2. Well, still it would be better than nothing. Did they actually go out and say "We'll spend £20m on players!"? Wasn't that jus newspapers speculation when they said "we have significant funds!"? Still, we haven't seen this "significant funds" yet, maybe cause there aren't any, but the window is not closed. Baros would still be a good signing, I think. Though I also think we need more signings.
  3. I go for Nobby 'cause I think Merse was on his best in the centre. I liked him there but he wasn't bad at the right either. Still I think Nobby is the better. On the right.
  4. Sorry, but something tells me that we'll miss out on this one too.
  5. Barrett, just before Delaney. Hm, I seem to favour those guys from '92-'93. Well, nothing wrong with that. A great season.
  6. He ain't worth that kind of money. Thinking of that most people here thinks 7m for Baros is too much then 10m isn't a better price for AJ. And, as said before, one season isn't proving anything. Have to admit though that I missed his celebrations last season. Live inSweden, didn't see the game. Sorry.
  7. Staunton every time. It was as a left defender hehad his best years and then he was great. Wright was good but no way near Stan at his best. And he never gave his best years to Pool. Not a chance. His best years was at Villa and it was as a left defender. Oh, those were the days.
  8. Bosnich no doubt, for me. Only thinking of his acting on the pitch, not aside of it. And for Sealey he never played in the PL, did he? Just a couple of games if at all. He played a lot in the season before it turned to the PL though.
  9. Villafan: You're right. Hm, why didn't I think of that? Thanks mate.
  10. I watched them on a training this Friday and on thing with Sörensen made me worried, though. When diving to his right he alwys tended to try and reach the ball with his left hand and never reached it. He seemed to be surprisingly one-handed. And for you who wonders, yes, he tried to reach the ball with the left hand, diving to the left. It was during a training when they first should dive to the left end then to the right. A little bit worrying. Still, i think he's the best we've got. So far.
  11. I think that Taylor is the competition Sörensen needs to get up on his toes again. Postma is good but hasn't got DOL's faith and I think Sörensen knew that. Sörensen is a top-class keeper when at his best, but he wasn't that last season and I think/hope it depended on the lack of competition. DOL had too much faith in him nad that wasn't good for him. But with Taylor breathing down his neck I think he can reach to his peek again. Remember that save against Italy in the EC last summer? That's the Sörensen I like to see. Then he's a world class keeper, I tell you. And still remember those blunders against Brummy last season, ie, he's NOT a world class keeper. Hardly would break in my teams first side. :-S
