  1. Actually me too. But then again, I've been drinking som wine.
  2. THAT really is worrying. And I agree with JG. I too think that DOL would be really good for us with a good backing from the board.
  3. Not EXACTLY the same situation granted, but the same questions can be asked. What will the impact be? Who should takeover? etc etc . Who knows who will come forward as a manager when the position is vacant. You see it seems now that the DOL fan club are asking for very specific and detailed answers to questions about what happens after DOL is gone. Why is it not the same about answering detailed and specific questions about after Ellis has gone? Partly agree, partly disagree. Think Ian is right when he says that there are no public potential takeovers to discuss. There are a few managers, though. But it's equally impossible to really say what would happen if a new manager was appointed now. But there's a lot more to discuss over a new manager. To me there is no better manager available who'd come to Villa than DOL, IMO. Of course I'd jump on Mousinho ie if he'd come here, but that won't happen. We won't get Capello, Hitzfield, SGE, not even O'Neill I'd guess as things are now. Those who are available ATM and who might come here ain't better than DOL so why sack him? Again, my opinion.
  4. I said keep him before this game and a draw against Chelsea won't exactly change my mind. A draw hardly changes anybody's mind, I guess.
  5. This one is said to be true: It was some kind of celebrity party where both Marilyn Monroe and Einstein were invited. After a while Marliyn walks up to Ainstein for a little chat. After a while she says to him: "You and me really should have a child together. Imagine a child with your brain and my look!" "Yes," Einstein replied "as long as it don't go the other way..."
  6. Now I've read all those 73 pages of good fun. I must be mad. Anyway, some really brilliant stuff in here. Don't know why I haven't read this thread before. A little surprised that this one hasn't come up yet but it's probably so old that it's really dead and burried in England and elsewhere. But here we go: It's Freddie Mercury meeting his maker just after he died. He comes up to him and God says "Well, Freddie, you didn't live that good a life so you should really go down to hell but your beautiful voice belong here in heaven. It's hard to tell what to do with you. Tell you what, to decide this I'll reincarnate you to give you a second chance to prove where you belong. And since I'm a big fan of you I let you decide yourself what to be reincarnated as" Freddie don't need to think too long before he answers: "I wanna be goalkeeper in Birmingham City!" "Birmingham?" says God, obviously surprised. "They're the worst football-team in the world. You won't win anything. Why them?" "Well", says Freddie "I don't really care about football but I'll have ten arses in front of me, thousands of dicks behind me and I can't catch a thing." Note: I'm a huge Queen-fan. And you're allowed to shoot me down for being antique if you like. :winkold:
  7. It used to be, and from this 4 still is, Arsenal because most of my friends support them and have given me a real hard time, but now they're not that good anymore so they keep it to themselves mostly these days. Hm, don't know if I dare to say this here but ManUre actually is my 3rd team, if there is such a thing as "3rd team". Maybeit's because I don't live in England and don't get to see how arrogant they can be for real, or is it that I just think they're as arrogant as anybody of the "top 4". Which BTW is a pretty dim thing to call them. I mean Arsenal is hardly one of the top 4 teams today and Chelsea wasn't a couple of years back. But still. I liked ManUre a lot more before 'cause I think they had a couple of good players that I really liked and was really good and who was brought up in the clubs youth system, ie Scholes and Giggs. Hm, why am I making excuses for this? I'm entitled to my opinion. Don't have to defend myself. :? Anyway, in general it's scums, Arses and Spurs. Thank you.
  8. Yes, for now. But as someone said earlier, there are probably other managers who are better on this. But still, i think he's done some good buys, some decent and some questionable like DJDJ and Berson who'll never be forgotten. But those two seems to be panicbuys who'd never been if real money had been available. Most of his signings have been good i think, so I'd trust him. But some other managers maybe can attract better players than he can. Not just thinking about SGE and Beckham. :winkold:
  9. Well, there are some good voices for and against him to stay, but I still want him in.
  10. No, I don't think it will anymore.
  11. Hm, don't know much about these things but doesn't the share price use to go up after a publicity like the one we got yesterday? Anyway, I'm not that confident anymore about this takeover.
  12. Agreed, and if the 10 mill had any influence on transfers, is that the kind of owners we would like? I would like people that are ready to invest in the club, not Ellis clones. It works the other way around too, you know. As said before, even if they can afford they won't be paying a price they don't think mathces the value. You wouldn't do it, I wouldn't do it. It's hard to say whom of them is right or wrong though.
  13. Pelle, expect him to say shortly that the Grim Reaper turned up at his home late one night and pleaded with me to go with him, but in the end he realised the club could not do without me (I showed him the letters I had from fans who support me) you know the Reaper is like a son to me, I taught him everything he knows. :winkold: Well, we can for sure know that he invented hell too, so he can go whenever he wants to.
  14. You can't take it with you, so where would be the hurry in selling from his point of view? I was just hoping that he would not drag this one out, let's hope Mr Neville is shortly in a position to make him an offer he can't refuse. He seems to be able to refuse every possible offer. Probably even the reapers offer. :?
  15. Read that one too and realised there were no quotes in it, hence it's as useless as every negative article without quotes. They've got nothing to write about it so they write anything.
  16. So, have we been taken over by Schalke yet? Ok, I'll quit that old joke. :? *leaving*
  17. I supported him before this, even if it was with a bit of reluctance for a while, and now I think he's managed to turn things around. Not sure just yet, but he has done a good job now and I think he can keep us up. So, no, not now. But he's not safe yet. But I have faith in him.
  18. This thing is a lot worse than the Baros-saga. But that's nothing new.
  19. Ok, now I see. Well, that seems pretty good, doesn't it? Thanks for enlighten me, mate.
  20. What's this avil-word meaning? Like Ali's quotes a lot better.
  21. I hate Ellis. If this is true I don't know what I'll do.
  22. Hm, almost don't dare to say this, knowing where it coul, and probably will, lead to, but didn't he say it did after the Man City-game?
  23. And that's the backside of winning that big yesterday.
  24. Hehe, well, let them talk while they still can, those f**king jealous blosers. But to me it's almost the best evidence that the takeover is about to happen.
