  1. I do feel a lot of faith in Diego, too. He’s an amazing player. He will step up.
  2. Bailey, Watkins both seem mostly ineffectual so far. Holding us back, a drag. I just can’t understand what has happened with Leon.
  3. Seriously not one damn Villa player to run up with Diaby. Unfuggingacceptable.
  4. Bailey. He’s got to feel like he’s under pressure, but I hope he also just plays with freedom, cause that’s when he does the best.
  5. So excited and so freaked out. Not feeling good about this. Which is normal.
  6. Ok, so it’s not ready for sale in the food halls of Harrod’s — but my son ate his serving with eagerness. Kidneys are fascinating. Thanks, @mjmooney, for the inspiration. As we often say about Villa, “we learned a lot with this experience” lol.
  7. I'm nervously making some steak and kidney pies at home this evening. Very worried. What have I got myself into?
  8. I'm still stuck on how to fashion matter ("a dimensionless quantity representing the amount of matter in a particle or object") into an argumentative substance, so that the idea of "massively" disagreeing with something works for my tiny brain. I need more coffee ... But seriously, I enjoy hearing about the silliness of English players trying to be cool on Instagram, which I don't ever use or see.
  9. Yeah, but Italian -- so computer says yes.
  10. I feel ya. I think it's still sinking in for me. It's a damn shame. Seeing the "new" Buff Buendia power forward versus Newcastle in preseason was a sight to behold. Hopefully we'll see him back again in ... 2024?
  11. One seldom mentioned factor holding us back a bit on the transfer markets is most players simply aren't old enough to understand how big of a club the Villa are. They've grown up in a world where Villa were mostly midtable and even relegated. The longer we can punch upwards and secure European spots, the easier it will be to attract top talent. But at this point, we're still weighed down a bit by our recent history. Wiser players and insightful agents will see that Villa are currently an incredible opportunity club. So that's one advantage to being not-yet-huge.
