It is negative in the immediate minutes after a brilliant victory for the lads. Imagine if you'd gone up to the lads straight after they won and said what you did. They'd be gutted. All we really need to think about STRAIGHT after the game is the success. Why then start debating their futures!? As many have said before, the lads have ASTON VILLA attached to them and I'm sure they're pleased as punch because they've done the club proud. However, you are a ridiculously negative person, so I don't expect you to see our point of view.

Nobody is comparing them in ability, Carrick is obviously miles ahead. But he's also 10 years ahead in his career. I don't think Westwood has had much impact in our descent into the bottom 3. That's like saying Guzan and Benteke have contributed just because they've played in the team.

Well, if they were to come on and read a post saying they might not be good enough Id hope at the very least, it would be something they are very aware of anyway, given the brutal competitive nature of professional football. Also, if something so trivial was to effect the confidence that much then they certainly won't end up being good enough. I totally get Michael Carrick. Very good at Club level. Not so good at International. Ashley Westwood bares no resemblance of Michael Carrick as it stands from what I can see. Other than him saying he is his hero, I see no real reason to compare the two. And this statement here leads me to believe you know absolutely nothing about football.
