Tim would just slot him in to Benteke's position. He got goals out of him before so the only reason not to bother is to overpay him. Tim's probably got the inside track and knows that no other English team will bother with the head case so he could yet come in on budget. So long as we sign a striker for the future also.

Nonsense. He is an England starter, he is worth 10-15 mill. He is also one of sherwoods yoof and not at his peak yet so it makes a lot of sense that sherwood should pursue him for AVFC.

Delph set a precedent for u-turns, but I think he was unique (and a bit mad) Benteke's career says that he does not stay long and takes a move when he gets offered it (he took us after all).

Kozak belonged to forward planning of seasons past. But he did score important goals. He was also 7 mill, not that price equals success but I think he will score this season with the sort of service that our potential midfield promises.

You do realise it does not work that way. Perhaps you are new to this thread. They only have to meet the buyout clause. Can't bear enthusiasm either, it's well annoying.

Think I'll wet meself if next season we've got midfield options of Grealish, Gil, Delph, Gueye, SInclair, Townsend then Amavi and Bacuna also getting forward. I can see Kozak doing very well regardless who we bring in.
