  1. We can't lose here. We can pick up the next 'prospect' and then also an experienced striker and still have money left over. I would have Austin in a heart beat if he isn't crocked.
  2. Good luck big man - you and Milner there will make me hate Liverpool a little less. It could be the sacrifice and resulting financial windfall that cements us in the premier league for years to come.
  3. We now defintely need a new striker. This will be fun. Can't remember the last time we needed a player and had this much money to play with.
  4. Might be in a red shirt but his undercrackers will be claret and blue. Or an analogy to that effect. 50/50....
  5. Well if it's just a case of the Chinese stock market recovering then it's a matter of time until we bought. If HH is of course not embelishing his story a little, for some media attention. No, he wouldn't do that.
  6. He is off to plop now, good. I will take them beating us home and away with a benteke hat trick, if it means we don't muck about with relegation this year.
  7. We should get another striker in and say to CB, earn your place this season - if he won't commit to the club let's start making plans without him. Randy's purse strings willing.
  8. If for whatever reason he ends up staying then that would be excellent news, and maybe next summer we get a lot of bargaining power to sell to the highest bidder, as the £32.5 mill clause will remain even though he has 1 year left.
  9. He gone to Swansea already Different Ayew Ayew certain?
  10. I'm always coming up with theories me and disproving them then coming up with more theories - it's a gift.
  11. Not heard about this - could it be real? Why that date? I suppose to prevent it from ruining the teams prep for the season. TS was quite confident about it wasnt he...
  12. I'd have thought that any prospective new owner would be up to date on all the players and would be looking to keep the best ones - maybe they 'revealed' themselves to Fab and he couldn't resist staying. That or Randy went all pyscho and put a gun to Delph's preggers wife's head.
  13. GG must be a little bit gutted about the news.
  14. A conspiracy. As DDID said, I'd like to know what conspiracy? Useless suggested it was all a PR exercise by Villa. Well there was a 50/50 chance it was all planned by Villa I suppose. Doesn't really make much sense to me. What does the club gain from it? It's not like he's signed a new contract or anything. The club were powerless in all of this. Delph's contract last season helped the club massively, I think they will now also benefit from a show of faith, they certainly will not produce a HD video about his love for villa.
  15. Right, I'm harping on, I get it. But there is no celebration in him staying. To think we can compete with CIteh is foolish. He was about to more than double his wages, he is not a brummie, why the heck did he not push that move through? It was horrible as a fan but completely understandable - why, why why?
  16. Also the Villa fan who spoke to him today. https://twitter.com/Jbuckers/status/619968418704420865 It was all bollocks invented by the press who are now desperately trying to save face by inventing a "U-Turn". Well that is just convenient.
  17. Why? I could not give a shit myself. You will likely never find out why. So it's best to make peace with it IMO. Fine. But I whinged to the wife for 24 hours about him leaving, it was upsetting. Then go apologise to your wife dude That would be setting a precedent that she does not deserve.

  19. I get the binary nature of football, delph stays therefore he is a saint, we win a game 1-0 therefore we are doing well etc etc. But Delph was taken off the marketing images, we announced Gueye (when we didn't need to) all because the club thought he was leaving. What we do not yet know is why he stayed and it is a key point in terms of how Delph is revered IMHO.
  20. OK, I was a bit strong earlier, I have had a nice sleep since and shall have a break from the Pims. I still do not get why Delph changed his mind, It wasn't just press speculation, it was on. I don;t know, but I think maybe his preggers wife reminded him of his principals or something but unless we have been taken over it cannot be a money decision, for all the shite pR this was always a money decision, and why not.
  21. Aaaaah feck, we all still love him and respect him. Sheeeeeeee-ite. He changed his mind last minute why?
  22. POGBA - the original - excuse caps
  23. Build the new legend that delph is, if you want, he had massive wages on the table and actually I believe that was the reason his head turned, I do not know why he stayed loyal, maybe he looked at his own words and thought, christ life is not worth living, who knows, but something affected him, who knows what. He is from Leeds, this is why I accepted his loyalty to money, because he is not a brummie, it made me question Jack. But now I think there is a serious takeover afoot.
  24. Yes, really, they are. Prove it otherwise,
  25. So, reasons to defend delph? His 'clause' was mentioned a while ago. He never stood in to deny it. He has turned down citeh because he doesn't want their money. Yer know I believe that, I really do, he has enough.
