I thought you said capable at Premier League level and then said Davis, then I laughed and laughed

I agree with you, I was just hoping the connection and love for him from Forest over the last six months might slightly blind or pressure them to buy him and not focus so much on his injury record so we could get a premium for him. Now we are likely to have to loan him out again or get a materially lower sale fee from another Championship club if the interest is there and they have sufficient money which is only likely a small amount of teams. It’s not about who likes him now, it’s knowing that Forest was likely our big fee for him, cashing in on an asset that we are unlikely to use in the future and getting likely maximum value. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be and now we will likely accept a lower fee, a loan or sits on our bench.
  3. Yes, yes, yes…that’s the phrase I was looking for!
  4. I don’t the right word for it but looks too fake like a computer generated badge for a fake club on a cheap computer game. I think it’s the font, prefer

Bugger! All finalised now, anybody else interested in KD?
  6. We know it’s going to end up some version of this so let’s just get it done…we don’t need to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on fan consulting because fans never agree. We aren’t going to do anything “out there”, they’ve already hinted about the round badge in the FAQ so just do it.
  7. Easier middle ground, it doesn’t have to be flat wages. It can easily be structured to be increased based on trigger points, bonuses etc within the contract term. Achieve certain milestones and wages increase, it’s fairly easy to construct. In a very different industry and a lot less value I’ve done it for juniors who worked for me.
  8. and his knowledge is based on? Sweet FA Most of these so called pundits know very little about us because we are insignificant to them, some don’t even know about our owners or workings of our club. I even heard one last year who said that we would never do anything because we don’t have rich owners….most are idiots
  9. Given rumours of him leaving for six months it’s no surprise. Good luck to him if he goes, we want people here that want to be here so let’s get an upgrade.

Wonder if we’ll start to see a change back to clubs having a direct striker because of likes of Haaland and Nunez coming in. The sexiness of false 9’s, deep lying strikers and wide scoring forwards that has been the craze of the last few years but it would be good to see a good old striker leading lines again.
  11. First glance I thought a good stat for him but thinking about it and looking into it it’s ok but looks better at quick glance. Very few forward players have >70 appearances over that time for various reasons, a lot aren’t playing with out and out striker, and many other reasons plus 23 goals over two seasons is an average of 11.5 per season which even by any standard is at best….”ok”
  12. Arsenal have brought Vieira from Porto, West Ham have brought Aguerd just off the top of my head of teams improving
  13. But they’ll have experience from that to counter it better next time and will likely invest as they already have started Agreed but still a threat and a squad with experience and a brilliant manager The complete unknowns, they will get better over time that’s for sure. You’re assuming everything goes extremely well for us, that both Kamara and Carlos settle quickly and are effective from day one. You’re assuming that our 2022 form dramatically improves. We have been a pretty poor team for 18 months now with only specks of quality. I think we’ve added smartly too but I think we need more and I don’t think we are as far ahead or as good as some might think
  14. So you are banking on us fluking it. You are banking on us not only being the best of the rest but also luck to get a bit more…no disrespect but that’s not the best way forward.
  15. I reckon that’s debatable Spending wise, but are they spending wisely. If Arsenal buy Raphinha and Jesus are they better than last season for example. They are buying Jesus who wants to play right wing and Raphinha whose is a right winger but they already have Saka there…I don’t understand them moves. So if Jesus plays upfront is he going to score more than Nkeitah or Lacazette did. Given we talked last season about Man City not playing with a striker yet Jesus was there playing. I don’t get what Arsenal are doing, these are quality players but they already have Saka so buying one making sense but two….so spending is great but spending wisely has to be questioned. Plus we have been one of the biggest spenders in recent years summer after summer so I’m not sure that rings true either. Depends who it is, plus I don’t just think we need a new 8, I think there a few other areas to look at as well.
  16. I don’t agree Agreed That’s a good thing and the owners aren’t here to mess around. Purslow said they were disappointed on missing out on Europe in the 20/21 season, do you really think two seasons later at the end of next season they would be happy to miss out again. They will be putting massive pressure on getting Europe this season whether we buy more or not, that’s why Gerrard was brought in. The bigger teams continue to move away from us so yes. We can’t keep adding better players re FFP without increased revenue and that needs European football and all the money that and it’s commercial money it brings. So yes time is against us.
