  1. clark has more experience than baker. this is bakers first year getting a decent run and he has definitely improved. I dont know why you are comparing Baker and Clarke. At this stage of the season we should be comparing Clarke and Baker with Bennett. Answers itself that one.
  2. haha troll! I like Clark and thinks he gets a bit unfairly treated here. Hes made some stupid cock ups but hes made a huge amount of intercepts and clearances to. I think he doesnt get the praise he deserves when he does something decent and gets destroyed when he does something bad. Sort of the opposite to Baker. Yeah I'm inclined to agree
  3. Wish he would stop as many of these wee flicks he does.

Its the kevin kegan school of management. We score more goals than u

Me as well, i think they have used all their lives up over past few seasons
  6. He started the Everton and Southampton games and we lost 1-3 and 4-1. Seriously, go and check the games we won and see how many he started of them.
  7. Id start Bannan. Seem to win when he starts. But everyone has their own opinions on this debate

I think Clarke coming on to replace signals who will be starting next game. If lambert had intentions of starting next time out he would have kept him on last 10 mins. Hope im right in thinking this
  9. Hard to judge as utd just shut down in second half. Did well though

Have to agree with this. Tonights result has little impact on our survival chances, in the grand scheme of things. Yes nothing has changed. We were never going to get anything at utd. Maybe 2 instead of 3 goals would have been nice but big game is next monday

Joe fecking Bennett. I give up
  12. Has much more pace than Kuyt though, but poorer in the air. What Kuyt did have was the knowledge when to make the run into the box and when not to. The pace he lacked in his legs was made up for by the pace of thought in his head!! Weiman makes some amazing runs that go unnoticed in games.
  13. Oh you mean the Dirk Kuyt that played 208 games for Liverpool and scored 51 goals? The same one that played mostly as a wide attacker and who is lightyears ahead of every midfielder we have right about now? I would be very happy if Weimann emulated Kuyt's career with us... I didnt say i wouldnt be happy ' I love Wienmann and what he has offered to the team', but what i am trying to argue is that he is not an out and out striker that some may suggest on here. (IMO)
  14. Whilst I love Wienmann and what he has offered to the team, I cant help but start to think that him and Dirk Kuyt are in the same mold. He has scored really good goals this season but on a par he has missed as many gilt edge chances at really important times.
  15. I would like to believe that as well, but most footballers follow the money and the glory. No such thing as Loyalty in football anymore as we have found out over the past 3-4 years. For every James Milner, there is a Leighton Baines. Lowton has been plucked from the lower leagues, and I just have a feeling that he'd rather be our first choice rightback, being part of what Lambert is building, looking to fight for a top half place in the league (if we stay up!) instead of warming the bench on a bigger side. For every Leighton Baines there are about 50 the opposite. And in fairness to James Milner he wasnt one of the Mercenaries i was thinking about. Out of all the big time Charlies that left Villa he was the one who didnt act the N0B. I hope you're right but i dont have much faith in footballers these days. Loyalty is something you build up over a few years not 8-9 months IMO
  16. No way, in my opinion. Lambert took a chance on him, pulled him up from a lower league and has then played him in every game. I have a feeling that Lowton, like Westwood, is one of those players that we could see here for a good few years. I would like to believe that as well, but most footballers follow the money and the glory. No such thing as Loyalty in football anymore as we have found out over the past 3-4 years.
  17. Arsenal are sniffing around Lowton i believe. Even taking Benteke into consideration, i think Lowton is going to be the hardest player to keep hold of this summer. Hes english and hasnt missed a league game in 3 or something years. Not to mention his age and performances this year.
  18. Does anyone know what formation we play lately. Is it a 442 or a 433 or even a 451. Maybe thats what lambert is trying to do, confuse the other teams because its confusing me. I cant figure it out the past few weeks not matter how much i watch us.
  19. I hear home chairmen buy the travelling support Burgers and Chips in the lower leagues. Could be worth it.

Fulham winning last night was great result for Villa. Not only because QPR are now more or less down, but because Fulham are now safe and will not be up for the game as much at Villa Park. I honestly believe we will win it 3-1 , 3-0. Not so sure about Stoke game, we totally battered them at Villa Park. I think if we are to stand a chance we have to have Clarke back and Baker in right back. Bit of height to manage the long balls and physicality.
  21. Its not the last 2 games for me. Its the 2 games against City and Arsenal that we were unlucky to get something from and the win against West ham, not to mention the games we threw away against West Brom and Everton. We are 5th in the form table are we not?
  22. Did he take to long? May have changed at nick of time. I think people on here are really nervous because of performances of them 3 games. If you look at games we played 442 we played well in nearly every one of them. This is why I think we will be safe before last game v Wigan.
